Andre LeFort - November 2006 Promo (29-10-2006) [Tearing Tech Trance]
Well, it has been ages since I posted a set in this forum, been so busy getting the Online Radio Station off the ground. I managed to take some time away from everything today and created a Halloween inspired Promo Mix.
The set starts off with a killer Remix by Alex MORPH, leading into some tech-trance goodness from the get go. A few vocals in the middle of the set lay into two of the most eery songs I have ever heard: Armin's Edit of Pdiddy (Let's Get Ill) and R. van Gelderen (Melting Point), and Mark Norman's spooky Phantom Manor. The set finishes off at the 60 minute mark, but not before laying down some of the tastiest Techno that I have ever heard! I highly recommend the last 4 songs in this set, as the energy level they maintain is simply amazing. The set starts out at 138 BPM and closes at 140 BPM. Mixed on two Numark TT200s.
Enjoy!
01. Super 8 vs DJ Tab - Helsinki Scorchin (Alex MORPH Remix)
02. Riley & Durrant - Neon Eyes (Scott Mac Remix)
03. Mac & Mac - Listen (Mac Zimms Remix)
04. The Thrillseekers ft Gina Dootson - By Your Side (Martin Roth Remix)
05. Solarium - Entropic (MK-S Remix)
06. Ronald van Gelderen vs P. Diddy - Melting Point vs Let's Get Ill (AvB Re-Edit)
07. Mark Norman - Phantom Manor
08. Phantom Force - Hurricane
09. Bardini Experience vs Chris P. - The Movie
P.S. That last track is simply to die for! The ultimate Tech Trancer!

Link is bad...
Rich
nope, the link works for me.
wahey, good energetic mix. Your mixing skill has significantly improved since I last reviewed your mix. Transitions are accurate and beatmatching is no longer an issue (well, mostly
) Mac and Mac track made me bouncing on the chair, lol. Also a spark went down my spine on 53:42. This is what I like about techno. I'm not sure about the track order to be honest. Let's take a look at 3rd, 4th and 5th track. Mac & Mac is kinda housey while 4rd (Martin Roth) is deeply energetic, totally different. Though I must admit that the transition is done very well and there is no clash in technical point of view. This also prooves your skills, because jumping from one genre to another could be a headache for most djs. Then with the 5th track you're back with melodic trance (this one is even softer than the opener). All in all, loads of energy throughout the mix and I got what I wanted
However it's hard to say if the mix would grow on me during the night. Hoping to hear from you soon. Cheers!

Just finished listening mate!! Tune selection was very good, there wasn't a tune i didn't like. Thought the mixing was pretty good, few little slips, but they were corrected quickly. Felt the structure was a little up and down tho. Starting with Trance and building to Tech Trance only to go back to Trance with "By Your Side again" and then build to Techno!!
sick mix... I think it would have been awesome if you video taped yourself mixing with the TT's...

Just realized I missed a few posts in this topic! Big thanks to sushipunk and razor nukels!
sushipunk: Glad you found the set energetic while at the gym! I've done the same, and my legs usually can't keep up during the last 15 minutes.
To all those that enjoyed this set, I'll have a new set coming out soon (just recorded it tonight) and this one has even more energy in it. Stay tuned!
