The Most Famous Livesets Ever...
I'm wondering what are all of your thoughts on the most famous livesets ever? I'm putting this post up for two reasons: 1) I'd like to see what people think are "classic" live sets and 2) I'm in hopes of checking out some that I may have never heard.
I'll start:
Tiesto - Live @ Energy 2000
Tiesto - Magik 6: Live In Amsterdam
Paul Oakenfold - Essential Mix '99 Tour
*note* if there is any one set out of his tour that is the most famed please add
Nu-NRG - Live @ Orgasmatron (5-05-2002)
Chicane - Live From Palladium (01-22-00)
Rank 1 - Live at Trance Energy (02-16-2002)
DJ Tisto - Live from Hyperstate 99 - A lot of people like this.

A lot of sets from the TA Live Set downloads section can be considered to be "classic". No ?

I'd say Oakie's Home @ Space in Ibiza deserves special recognition as it was very accessible in the early days of mp3 downloading in '99. It was the first liveset I ever listened to, and I know it was for many others as well.

Paul van Dyk - Live @ Jahre Maximal (5-14-2005) Probably the best set I've ever heard.
I don't what everyone else would consider classic, but I think Tiesto Live @ Trance Sensation (7-01-2000) is one of the better historical trance sets.
Johan Gielen - LIve @ Trance Energy 2002

Fenslau, Dag & Sven Vth - Clubnight XXL - Live At Hessentag 1993-07-17
also, obviously, Armin's seven (it was actually twelve but only seven got recorded) hour set in 2002
The one at Energy as you said and..
Tiesto @ Gatecrasher NEC 2002
Mauro Picotto @ Gatecrasher NEC 2002
Both brilliant
Paul Van Dyk @ Energy 2003
ferry corsten - live @ trance energy 2000
paul oakenfold - live @ gatecrasher, lotheran hall '99
but the trance energy/hyperstate scene during 2000 was quite good. (marco v, rank 1 etc)
PvD's Amnesia set that's available in the Live Sets section here. That was orgasmic, love it to bits...
Chicane - Live From Palladium (01-22-00) is one of the most amazing sets.
But the set which is really best for me is Paul van Dyk @ Vandit Nigths (Casino, Berlin) in October 2004. This night completely crashed my head and I started to play really more after that!
yes i agree magik 6 live in amsterdam is a classic. Also, i would like to add ferry corsten's mix live spundae!

what's so great about palladium set? he just played couple of his songs (with pauses between them) in a row (some twice) and that's it. you can make that kind of set in your winamp with same songs, add some background noise and there you have it.
i mean, i love chicane and his production (especially far from the maddening crowds album), but this set is just too hyped up without reason
What a clueless thread.
Here's my vote: Fatboy Slim: Live at Brighton Beach 2002.
250,000 people attended. It was on the national news. The CD release of the mix is available in shops. It was such a big event, Mixmag recently ran a retrospective feature that included it alongside historical clubbing moments like the introduction of E to the UK.
Not a single mix mentioned here is remotely close.
