-- I do things my way.

I do things my way.

So far in my life, I've never done things right. I do exactly the opposite of what I'm supposed to do. But here is the thing... I always end up on top. Last week I had an exam in World Civilization. I COMPLETELY bullshat (I don't pay attention in class) through the whole thing, get it back today, and I got a fucking A+, with comments such as "Great point!" and "interesting perspective!"

Is this a gift? Or is the shit going to hit the fan one day?

Is anyone here like this?

i guess ur lucky, but when you're an adult, and you can't even hold a conversation about the basics of american history, ur gonna regret it. lol

I do the same thing. Most of the time it works, sometimes it doesnt. I'm in class right now and they're reviewing for a test next class. I've also missed a few days. It will be interesting. Open ended questions are always easier though.

lol @ the opposite of what you're supposed to do, reminds me of Seinfeld:

George: Hi, I couldn't help but notice you looked at me.
Woman: Oh, yeah, you reminded me of a friend.
George: ..... My name is George, I'm unemployed and I live with my parents.
Woman: I'm Victoria, hiii!

Wait until your course numbers start with 3's 4's and 5's in them and try the same thing. I took tests well in high school/first year of college but after awhile it catches up to you. One day you'll be in a high level class and try to BS an essay like you did and find yourself repeating that class next semester.

i can't picture a situation where i'd need to have a discussion about american history.

hi can I buy you a drink? my name is brian
hi my name is Jill
So how much do you know about american history?

does that work?

-edit on topic-
the art of bullshitting is a talent, it's called elaborating facts by skipping details to fill out pages of those annoying blue books you have to write your essay's in. I hate those damn blue books

See the thing with me is, i often pick things up even if i dont pay attention. I hear it subconsciously, then i go to review day and fill in the rest. Plus i learn a lot more on my own. I tend to remember things i hear and read really well. So i could have a conversation about many topics without a problem. Also, i am extremely good at bullshitting. Bullshitting is really just taking emphasis off the real topic without anyone noticing by focusing on little details.

On topic: The only class I haven't bullshat in, is math. You can't fool numbers!

for every important thing I make a memento, and I scotch in a place I'm sure I will read it.

Shit...guess I'm screwed then.

Bullshitting your way through tests, conversations, and arguments can often be effective.... until you run into someone that calls you on your bullshit, they you're fucked! Nothing makes one look more foolish then being exposed as a fraud.
