Hey

right i'm looking for passive speakers/monitors, preferrably the louder the better but with clear sound at higher levels

The kind of locations I will be using them, are for small university parties i.e. corridor parties etc.

I'm working with a budget around �400, if anyone can make some suggestions of some good systems??

Also what are W-audio speakers like? as these were suggested to me by a retailer

You say you're looking for passive speakers - what amp and therefore how much power have you got available to give them? This will have a bearing on what gets recommended...
