to write cover letters? i am trying to find a new job as im getting laid off as of the 7th and i suck at this. please help! thanks in advance.

The thing about cover letters is that it should be specific to each company, unlike a resume that can be somewhat generic.

yeah thats the problem. and since the samples i looked at were shite (too basic and generic) i figured there has to be someone here thats good.
