Discodroids - Interspace [Tsunami]

This superb '97 single gets an awesome facelift from 2 rising stars.
I am very pleased with both new mixes esp. with what Oliver Shine has done.
This guy's stuff is always fresh, groovy and pumping and it's pretty hard to go wrong with him.

Oliver Shine Space Out Remix - My pick of the two. His trademark bouncy, tribal-techy bassline and solid groove is prevalent in full force.
He's also added some well-placed FX and a few tweaks here and there.
Those who liked Northstar should appreciate what he's done with this.
In the box, this is one heckuva track for club play. - 8.5/10
Listen

Paco Lesotto Mix - A more proggy take, this mix emphasizes more on creating a deep atmosphere rather than relying on drive to fuel it through.
Deep-housey/proggy material, one for the earlier sets. Great stuff as well. - 8/10 Listen

This one's out now on promo. Check it out.

never heard of it....would love a re-release of Bypass - Ciberia though

Both new mixes rape the original, which is Ferry's best productions. Good production, but original idea (the main melody) doesn't fit into those mixes..

I quite like this.

One of Ferry Corsten's many Aliases. This one being from 1997. He didnt release much under his Discodroids guise.
So this track has fallen by the wayside. But its been revamped very nicely indeed, and brought smack bang up to date, but still retaining that 'Early' Ferry trademark sound.

My pick has is Oliver Shine Space out Mix.
Like that groovy rolling bassline, and offcorse that bleepy top line.
Good Stuff. 8.5/10

Paco Lesotto Mix, is a nice, more laidback affair. Infact more spaced out than the Oliver Shine Mix. 7.5/10

I hate classics being re-released, but this one wasnt a classic in many peoples eyes, so it was probably just chucked on the pile and never played again. So its been given a second shot.

lol

why

I've checked out these two now, and i have to say i'm surpised. Neither of the two are attempts to remake the original or incorporate ferry's lead melody. Instead the two remixers have recreated the atmosphere from the original in two brand new tunes.

The Paco Lesotto remix does it for me, what at awesome tune. It reminds me of dm - precious (sasha gargantuan) in style and it's really groovy, this is the kind of tune i would like to dance my ass off to. 8/10

I have been talking about the original for years and years!!

what a track... not heard the new remixes, very interested to see what they came up with.

Personally, i feel this was one of corstens finest productions... simple yet it sounds so good....

nearly 10 years old too...

crazy.
