Has anyone orderd records from this place. I gave them my credit card info with an order but they have yet to send me the order confirmation to my E-mail. im wondering what the hell is going on,

Most credit card companies have websites where you can check the status of your account. Go and see if you have been charged for your order yet. If so, contact the vinyl shop by phone to find out whats going on. If not, and you are that worried then cancel payment to the company.

Give it time though, most on-line stores get many orders, and take up to 3 days or so to process customer orders. If you sent in your order on say a weekend then take into account that most stores can be closed on weekends, and therefore unable to process your order during that time.

Good luck, i hope you didn't get ripped off. I know how nerv-racking it can be ording on-line.

Im not to worried that im not going to get my records i just dont want it to take 3 months for me to get my order....that would suck as im recording a demo and the 5 tracks i orderd are going to be on it.

My one experience with dotvinyl was great. I saw an record that i could not find anywhere (Lizard vs Camisra - Let me show you lizard), and i put the order in right away. I got my confermation email, and the record was there within 5 days (i live in ontario) .. came in perfect shape, and neatly wrapped in a bubble envelope.

I wouldn't worry much about it. If you ordered it, it will be on it's way.

ya i found out that they had a server crash so i re-sent the order. within 4 hours or so they sent me an e-mail saying that all my selections were in stock and it would be shipped tommorow, im glad because most the records were rare promos.

this site is best for mash ups and promos...most of the time they will be behind stores like juno in their current stock though

I have been ripped off by them.. 23 quids for 2 vinyls that never came.. later i went to juno and found them costing wayyy cheaper.. The worse part about this is my dad has already paid the bill in the credit card and now im having to file against them and see what will happen.
Platipus.com on the other hand ripped 50- quids off from me .. =( takign action against that too.

how long have you ordered from platipus? i ordered from them in feb and my vinyl finally came the month after (it took 5 weeks) and from my invoice, they didn't even ship to me until 4 weeks after payment. so technically my shit was supposed to arrive within 1 week from payment but no they had to wait a whole month before bothering to touch my order. because of this unnecessary long wait, i ended losing out on 1 of the 3 vinyls i ordered because it went out of stock.

i ordered 2 records on 7/31 and they charged me almost $30 for shipping to US by Fedex next day mail. i still dont have it.
i e-mailed them and they haven't wrote me back yet.

Give them a call

As i put on the other post- they are well behind at the mo due to their new store.

Even my order (and im in the uk about an hour from them) took 10 days- and its normally sent out next day from them.

even they are relocating, they should not take this long to send me my order. if i paid for next day mail, it should be here in 2 weeks max.

I order from Dotvinyl.com quite a bit and my order is always sent overnight within one or two business days. I have never had a problem with them not responding, though I have never needed to contact them either because of their great service. I believe that they are relocating/opening a new store, so this may be why there is some problems as of late.
