Set Recording

This is a pretty noob question, but I won't learn if i don't ask . How are live DJ sets recorded? Like what do they plug what into in order to record? Who does it? As much information on this would be nice. Thanks ahead of time everyone.

They plug into one of the aux outputs of the mixer into a pc/laptop or other portable recorder usually, and sometimes they have a mic setup to also get some croud noise on top of it.

Mixer output --> recording input usually via RCA, its really easy. I've never mic'd the crowd, but I'm sure that can't be too hard either.
