Ive always thought about the legality of most of the videos. I figured though for stuff like comedy central shows, if it's broadcast over cable...whats the difference broadcasting it over the internet. You could save it on your computer, but you could also tape or TiVo the same show off your TV. The only thing that shouldn't be on YouTube is full length movies which I don't remember seeing any of.

I don't think it allows people to upload videos any longer than 10 mins, unless you're a Director. But even at that, I don't think there would be any full length features on YouTube and the like.
