Trentemoller

What do you guys think of this producer?
I really am enjoying alot of his productions lately. I came across Late Night Cab Driving and i enjoyed it alot. What other producers would you suggest that are simmilar to this guy, or even better.

Also, what would you consider this type of genre?

Genius.

one of the best current producers out there ...check out his album "The Very Last Resort" for more of his softer stuff. IMO 'In Progress' is his best production....though some might not agree

for more artists like Trentemoller check out Unai and some of his productions of note like 'Loving that Lost Feeling', 'Stars in Your Eyes' and his "Moderne Love" EP

Late Night Cab Driving was good. Since then, however, he's been hit or miss, though it's been mostly miss, in my opinion.

I like his music, it's dark and crisp. Plus he has a unique sound, you can hear it's Trentemoller, that's always fascinating about an artist.

That's not a bad thing at first, but it seems like every release he's churning out nowadays is too easily identifiable. I like it when producers don't stick to what they usually do and instead try different/new stuff.

I absolutely loved his Essential Mix - the best EM of the year in my opinion. Listening to his own original tracks (not remixes) I understood that there is so much more to him than those overplayed Royksopp and Yoshimoto remixes. I'll definitely check out his album.

check out his album if you like his softer stuff...the whole albums got a very personal and emotional feel to it...but you cant miss the beauty of songs like 'Take me into Your Skin', 'Moan', 'Snowflake' etc

Fuckin'.. Super cool guy! He played an AMAZING show here in Montreal and came to see Lee Burridge with all of us after.

Amazing live act. Easily one of the best I've seen- lot's of talent right here.

Very good producer. Haven't heard any bad track from him.

Posted by chesco on Nov-03-2006 11:16:

I'm not a fan of all of his tunes but as far as production goes, i don't think there is many better in the scene right now.

Posted by Futureshock on Nov-03-2006 13:04:

It's hard to miss his stuff these days, what with all the electro house being played atm.

Bassline on his remix of that track by The Knife is amazing, I HAVE to hear it in a club.

Posted by Prototrance on Nov-03-2006 13:44:

Just bought 'The last resort', listening to it now. Its fantastic. I'd only heard remixes and 'Polar shift' up to now.

Great producer.

He came to New York a week early for his gig here last Thursday @ Cielo because I heard it was his first time here. The guys throwing the party he was playing, the Robots (Dennis Rogers, Bill Patrick), took him out to Magda the night he got into town at this small venue and a ton of people from this other board I'm on got to meet and hang out with him. I just didn't know what he looked like. When he played here, he was all through the venue before his set, hanging out with everyone there. My girlfriend talked to him and said he seemed like a cool guy for the few minutes they chatted.

Review of that party is here - http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...hreadid=378319, some more at the end of this thread http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=377768
