Teh Official "I've Just seen BORAT" thread

I've just got back from an 8:30pm showing.

And well....

IT IS THE FUCKING FUNNIEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.

There is so many funny parts to this movie that you simply cannot remember them all. Some parts you just cringe at.

Watch this film.

10/10!

I dont want to leave any spoilers.

Loved the bit where him and his pal end up fighting naked. That's all I say.

I found that part discusting....yet hillarious.

I dont think anyone would be able to sit through it without laughing atleast once.

Well, of course. It's one of the few things I've seen that made laugh and cringe at the same time.

I saw this guy on many interviews on the Dutch telly and in every show he had the exact same jokes. A comedian should not act funny with studied lines, but should BE funny.

So none interest in this crap!

I will 'acquire' this movie (legally ), and I guarantee I will not like it. Borat is unfunny.

fucking awesome, saw it today
that man has balls, plain and simple

Were his balls shown in the movie (I wouldn't be surprised)?

They were censored but apparently, other guys Hrams were shown.

What is w/ all this Borat hate?

He's hilarious!

Although I must admit I'm kind of disappointed that it comes out on the 23rd here in Australia... ridiculase.

Seriously there's been so much hype about it, and I really want to see it in the cinemas... but will I be able to wait? And if I don't and see it in the cinemas again, will it be just as good?

Yeah I have seen most, if not all of the pre-movie interviews on Youtube and it was a little dissapointing that he used the same jokes in all of them. Even so it still doesn't change my view that the guy is fucking halarious! He's probably used up most of the jokes in the film and so doesn't have a lot of new material left over. I can't wait to see the film

If you can guarantee you won't like it then why are you going to make the effort to 'aquire' it?

10/10

Funniest movie ive seen in years, only thing that sucked is i watched so many of the shorts from the ali g show and unreleased material that the humour kinda died down a bit when i saw the movie.

I still cant believe he bagged her. I was dying.

only thing that pissed me off...the guy next to me laughed like a chicken, he choked half the time

edit again: funniest part of the movie when he brings the prostitute to the household: "YOU CALL POLICE? WHY YOU CALL POLICE? THE RETARD ESCAPE AND YOU CANNOT FIND HIM?"

ahahahahahahahahahahahah

he's funny. not every joke, but many of them.

Posted by Vlad on Nov-04-2006 07:26:

The movie is fucking hilarious...

"So youre telling me the man that tried to put a rubber fist in my ah-nus is a... homosexual?"

*Borat depressed face*

The one thing that was disappointing was close to the end, before Pam Anderson... too much drama, turned into an actual movie.

You really need to see his sketches. He's good at what he does. The interviews aren't comedy, just exposure/publicity for his film. His style of comedy is not suited to interviews where the interviewer knows he's just a character. It's satire kinda in the picaresque tradition. Seriously download his sketches.
