Shameless ripoff of Nu NRGs remix. Disgraceful play by JOC.

Posted by RoBDaWG on Nov-06-2006 15:43:

Armin played it in NYC last month, and Bono happened to be in VIP

Posted by AirPole on Nov-06-2006 16:35:

Yes,

Nu Nrg's remix is the best and shits all over JOC's version.

I am a HUGE U2 fan.

Can I get a sample of both remixes please?!

Posted by AndskiSpeed on Nov-06-2006 18:30:

edit: u2 are shite.

You can't beat Edge's guitar effects, so you be quite, now.

If he ripped off Nu NRG's remix, then (and I hate to sound like an elitist here) it more than likely sucks ass. Nu NRG's remix was bland and uninspired. The break in the track is good at first, but then it repeats, and repeats and repeats, and I was left standing in the crowd thinking, "Okay, when the fuck is this break going to change?" It never did. It was the same thing for almost two minutes. When the beat finally kicked back in, the vocals never showed up, and you were left with a kick and a bassline. It was such a pointless build.

The vocals make the track. If you're going to remix it, they're required. If you don't want to use them, then do not remix the track.

The only remix of the tune worth mentioning at all is the Daniele Davioli remix. Fucking excellent tune.

I would also like to know if the nu nrg remix got released, and where...
Can't find it...
And I can imagine that it's hard to get an official "remix-yay" by U2 especially when it's a trance remix.

+1

The remix sucks. The melody that repeats and repeats and you're dying to hear "I wanna run" but instead after hearing 2 mintues long a loop of the melody you get a standard kick and bassline, I mean wtf?!

Btw do you have a sample of that davioli remix? Would love to hear it.
