Review: Sander Kleinenberg @ TIL
Wasn't sure if I was going to go to this because it was being held at TIL but decidede to go since it is Sander. The last time I saw Sander was his epic set at Stereo earlier this year and I knew nothing at TIL would even come close to that.
Got down to TIL early at 10:40 pm since I knew it was going to be crazy with the crowd and the inept bouncers. Saw the chaos that was there and left. There was at least 30 people in the bottle service line, a mob of people in the centre paying off the bouncers and at least 500 people in the guest list line which went to the end of the building and wrapped around it into the alley.
What a fucking joke.
Anyone who stuck it out, hope it was worth it.
i hope he played this is not miami omgggggggggg i would've died

And that was just at almost 11pm.

No, it was getting too hard to organize. I would have been pissed if we did. Like I said there was at least 30 people in the "bottle service" line waiting while the mob in front were paying the bouncers to get in. Can you imagine spending at least $400 for bottle service to wait in line while someone who gives the bouncer $20 gets in before you?
seems like hell to get in TIL!
i hope its not hell for mistress barbara as id like to check her out next friday....
sander is quite popular, hence the stupidass lineup...they should expand the club lol...or move the DJ's to Guv!

ok so i was on the phone with my friend while he was in line, right next to the door...
and all of the sudden i hear the bouncer scream
" SORRY WE ARE NOW CLOSED"

hah...well that sucks! I went to Pur and had a fucking blast 
got there early waited a bit... wayyyyy tooo packed... but the choonage he was just throwing them down... and yes he played two versions of this is not miami... lol... what i fkn loved was the fact that he was doing the robot with his headphones fknnnn classsssssssic!!!..to his remix of around the world... he sure was enjoying himself... my 2nd time seeing him... surely doesnt disspoint.... alot of tas were out great to see you all.. gotta work 2morro.. i cant wait to hit pillowtop... gnite all... barrells of fun... until next...
way too rammed
the guy is either hit or miss...he was missing more than he was hitting. I wasnt blown away. The club, well what do you expect, small venue big DJ. Just too crazy for me, people pushing, people giving attitude...I think at this point it is safe to say that I will no longer be attending the TIL parties.
It funny the line was brutal but what I thought was the most ridiculous part was the maddness of paying, coat check, getting searched and all that....is it crucial that I get my balls grabbed twice while 15 people are pushing me? do a quick search and move people through...
I'm w musicsnob, I waited in line an hour, got fed up and hit up Pur, had a blast even though I missed last call.
Borat tomorrow.
Kleinenberg just tore that place apart.

hmm.. i arrived outside the club shortly after 11pm to be greeted by a mob of people. it was insane outside. everyone was trying to talk their way in to the club to bypass the lineup. i got in after a couple minutes and the coat check line went up the friggin stairs. lol.
it wasnt packed when i reached the dancefloor but it filled up very quickly. brad copeland played a nice opening set. sander's set was fairly mellow at the beginning. he picked up the tempo as his set went along but then he mellowed it out again a bit.
i left the club at almost 4am and it was still a zoo in there. i really do not like working events that are so busy. it is so damn hard to take pics when people keep walking in the way.
i had a good time. i think i would've had a better time if my mind was not in 'work mode'. sander is still one of my top 5 djs.
i met a few ta's that i have never met in the past. saw a crapload of ta's that i knew. kudos to all of you.

i heard lots of complaints about it being to rammed.....what do you really expect when a dj of sander's stature comes into town. a half empty club?

This night was a lot of fun, but it had more to do with lots of good people under one roof.
The tunes were good, but only ok. I expected more. There would be huge tunes spread throughout the set, which were great, but there wasn't much as far as flow is concerned.
Lineup was a near miss coming in. I swear, you'd think for doing it every weekend This Is London might get a bit better at it, cause they suck!
But still had lots of fun!

The venue was WAY too small for a DJ like Sander K. The dance floor was pure chaos, people were constantly throwing themselves at eachother. Not even just a little push and shove, but friggin bodies flying left, right and center.
Despite the retards and rediculous amount of people, it was still fucking awesome.
My first time seeing Sander K, and definately not my last. This man had me dancing even when I was in pure fucking agony from the high heels and busted ankle.
I went from having a badly sprained ankle... to becoming completely crippled. Yet I'm still smiling.
Was great seeing all he TAs out having a blast, hope the others enjoyed it as much as I did.
