help! cubase project file not opening (error)

hey guys.

im having issues with cubase.

i have a legit copy and occasionally got the box coming up during production sessions in cubase. error. save under a new name and try again.... if persuists contact steinberg tech support....

so i saved under a different name but alas, my two latest projects will not open up - i keep getting the same message as above.

what causes this error? and how can i rectifie this? i was really getting somewhere with the last tracks

try renaming the project file and opening it again

This usually happens just when you get somewhere with a track.. That's why you should always save backups! I usually always save under a diff name every couple minutes, like Project 01, Project 02.

Make sure as little stuff is running as possible, and you have as much free ram as possible.

yea sometimes whe nmy cpu is maxxed out it does this. i usually close every program that is not needed. open it and mix down. if this isnt the problem i feel for you. i lost all my tracks through a virus so i know how it feels.

Learn to save with iterations on a regular basis.

SX has the ability to save via Ctrl-Shift-S, so instead of this:

My_Song.cpr

Everytime you save, you get:

My_Song.cpr
My_Song01.cpr
My_Song02.cpr
My_Song03.cpr

etc etc

It's all about good file management
