Question Fruity Loops

Can this program be used to make decent trance or techno music? I just started the demo and I am so overwhelmed (wondering if there's anything easier to start out with) or do I just have to dive in...

i'm sorry to be a dick but someone's going to say it anyways at this point:

1. use the search button
2. RTFM
3. there's a production forum for these exact sort of issues
4. use the search button

Doesn't matter what program you use to produce music. It matters how you use it.

I've been told so many times that FL Studio simply cannot compare to all these big name programs and it's just bollocks. Maybe it isn't as sophisticated as Cubase or Logic or Sonar but if you know what you're doing, then you can do anything with it. I use it to produce and I simply can't see myself using anything else.

P.S: It's probably one of the easiest programs to use. I felt the same way when I opened it, I was like; "so um, kick, clap, snare, hi-hat eh?". Just dive in, it's for one a fun program to use and two a very easy one to adapt to and learn.

FL is more than capable of creating professional souding tunes mate. Fear not!

I use it myself, i love it, The sounds it comes with leave much to be desired. But get yourself some good sample packs. And spend a fair few hours finding some good vst's or get yourself some hardware. And your aaway

Its a very powerful bit of kit in the right hands, its quick to work with, and gives great results if you know how to use it.

More and more people are begining to use it these days. Terry Bones being another one. As well as lots of hard dance producers and hip hop producers

The leading engineres will tell you its useless, but they dont actualy know what its capable of because its likey that when it came out however many years ago, they got an impression of it that seems to have stayed witha lot of people

Its awesome and id reccomend it to anyone
