Glitch, Stutter, Gate, BT Style plugins
Hey guys i know it might have already been spoken about and i have read a few things around about them.. But i am really trying to find a really good Glitch Plugin. or like Stutter Fx. like i think i am using a glitch freeware that i saw posted here. it might have been db_glitch. I am not 100% sure. But it was up my alley, i tried messing around with it for a little bit, But want to know of any other real good ones.

dblue glitch is a very versatile plugin but you have to know what you are doing. beatrepeat in ableton live is very much "out-of-the-box" so that you can just try out. for stutterlike gating you could use camelspace or gat'r
Yeah Dblue glitch is rad.
I make specific patterns in it, and then usually keep it turned off on a channel via automating the Bypass in Cubase. When I want to do a neat glitch part, I set it to the pattern I want to use, and turn the bypass off so dblue turns on, do the glitchy part, and then turn bypass on again so dblue is off.
I'll also automate the different controls on whatever effects are going to be triggered, for example changing the retrigger speed, or whatever. <--- that sounds really cool btw.
The only better way is to actually chop pieces of audio up into maybe 32nd slices and fuck around with them. I've only done that once I think. For sure you can be more versatile doing that, but I think I'm happy with dblue glitch + automations for now.

Ok great . yeah ive been realizing that it could be used for a lot. I just need to learn it better.

Bt does the majority of his edits by hand. But his new software company which will release "stutter" is coming out soon.

Been about 800 threads about this but I'll say it again... dBlue Glitch is fine and I'm sure BT's upcoming plugin will be fine too, but to get really good edits you have to um, edit. Plugins won't get the whole job done if you're aiming for something that sounds both organic and original.
a big pro if you do it by hand is the fact that you have 200% control over how the sound will come out. the con is cleaarly the time it takes. if you just want a minor effect that doesn't need much attention put into it a plugin will most certainly do but for that heavy stuff you will never come close to doing it by hand...
Oh I understand that. and i do edit and edit.. I am not asking for a magical plugin.. I know this has been spoken about a few times and i read the threads on them. I just wanted to know maybe something new came out or maybe even the BT plugin. But. dB def has what i need and i was using it. Its great sounding maybe there are certain things about it that i do not know how to use. Which is what i need work on..
