Exclamation Looking to hire ($$) an artist to professionally colour 15-20 drawings

-- UPDATE --

Alright, this is just a quick message to let everyone know that I am allowing until Sunday evening when I go to bed for submissions. That gives you all weekend, hopefully that is enough time. If you'd really like to make a submission but you just won't be able to do it in the alotted time, please pm or e-mail me and I will make an exception.

-- ORIGINAL POST --

Hi

This is completely unrelated to my other logo/graphic post...

I am looking for someone who is a great graphic artist and can pull of professional colouring quickly.

I have 15-20 drawings which I need coloured. I say quickly because I can't afford to pay much more than $200 for the entire batch and I don't want you spending hours to get paid so little. *BUT* they need to be professionally done.

In order to do this you not only need to be able to use your computer graphics program but you need to understand design concept. You need to understand the way the colours work so that you can tell me how many colours are in each picture.

If I like your work there will be more in the future when I can afford it. If you are interested please contact me privately and I will give you more details.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Umm...well they would eventually be available online but not right away. I can definately post to let everyone know when if you want...or you can always sign up for the newsletter I offer on my website, I'm sure I'll alert everyone who's on it.

btw, I'm so impressed you guys made this a sticky thread!!

How about this...I will post all of the different sample drawings that were sent to me? And then you will have to wait to see the actual set of 15-20 drawings that I need done.

cool thread.

bug bite > what style are you looking for? if you could possibly post a thumbnail of one large enoughto see what kind of drawing it is, i will have a better idea of the kind of colouring involved.

comic book style? cartoon? etc

You see that black and white picture on the right? I have 20 of those that I need coloured. I won't tell you what style because honestly I don't know what style I want them coloured in, but I'll know it when I see it, that's for sure.

sorry guys, I DON'T KNOW WHAT STYLE I WANT IT DONE IN. I've said that numerous times. If you want, do it in a couple of different styles and e-mail them all to me. If you think it would look best flat coloured, then flat colour it. If you think it would look best with gradients, etc, then do that.

What is going to happen is when I get all of the submissions I am going to take a look at them, pick the artists that I think can do the best job, and then write you with suggestions of what to change so that I can see if you can take direction.

At this stage I am basically looking to see if you have a good grasp on colour concept and know how to use your graphics program.

If you've got any other questions please ask!

Okay let's make this short and sweet...major set back last week, huge computer problems, it sucked bad, but the good news is I am finally back up and running.

I am so behind now, I'm so sorry to everyone that is waiting on this, I will give info very soon. If you are an artist that submitted a design please contact me to ask if I received it or not. Please do not e-mail it to me again because I am currently using a web based client until I get my system up and running completely again.
