New Vestax mixer.

Looks like Vestax released a new mixer called the R-3, looks dang sexy. I dont think its being sold yet, at least not here in the states, but wow, it looks amazing.

Looks kind of like my pmc46mk2 in a slightly revised box. the addition of the filters and some other stuff (the master loop!) makes it pretty appealing
here is another pic:

yes I want one- looks like I may be smuggling another package back from the US in my carry on luggage in the not too distant future...

lord knows how much it will cost though

as long as it's less than the A&H V6 i'm happy

no tube pre-amps but i'm sure it will sound great

Definitely.

Really looking forward to this one...

ok, so from what i've gathered from the specs

there's a 2 band eq on each channel with a 3 band eq with parametic control on the midrange for the master and a high and low pass filter for the master?

That's a good thing.

Sometimes you want to sweep the overall mix and not the
individual source.

I heard it cost $4000.00 from another message board.

I'm never going to be able to afford a rotary

Posted by Freak on Nov-11-2006 01:17:

$4k?
eep.......

Old skool VU meters FTW.

Posted by Tony Morello on Nov-11-2006 01:41:

FFS, i might as well save a bit more and get a v6 with an eq unit

With a price tag like that not even many clubs in AUS will feature this beauty.

That's what I said

The Mixer's listed Price

Currency Convertor

400,000 Yen = $3,400 U.S.

Looks like I'm sticking with my Gemini Rotary.

Meh... Clubs in oz don't really go all out with there mixers anyway, I wouldn't expect to see one of these. Theres places all over still using DJM-600's
