Comments and constructive critism very welcome! Am only just getting to grips with the ideas behind eQ etc, so espcially any ideas to make this sound more spaceous and crisp wuld be much appriciated! This is a shorter version, I also have an epic remix on the way.

track has a nice build up, very energetic, this is good so you would hear it in a set immediatly!
first of all, to get it more spacy PAN! pan pan pan.. start with the arp which seems to be a little stuck in the middle. the leads are all fat so that's good everything sounds clear to me! oh and to get a bigger sound on the pad, have a low pad "blowing bass" underneath.. it has also worked for me to make three channels with a pad one for the lows one for the mids and one for the highs.. you can plaay with reverb and delay and other effects on all the "sectors". be sure to try that.. for the rest your production sounds very clear ! keep it up!!

kool thanx for the ideas i actually took out the low and high pads coz it woz getting to muddy, think they where interfering with the reverb on some of the leads, still not good enough wiv eq to fix that hehe but I'll definitly try again there is a mid pad in there, but very quiet, u can juzt about pick it up but it sounds like its part of one of the leads...

hmm there are two leads on there that shoudl be panned quiet hard left and right, unfortunetly I'm workin in mono atm coz my amps buggered *sob* ...I'll pan them over a bit more n see wot happens thru the headfones

cheerZ!

will add a stereo delay to the middle arp aswell to open it up a bit

Posted by sterilis on Nov-11-2006 01:25:

sounds like a good set starter

i think someone mentioned it but its very dry. get delay, reverb, panning, phasers the full works on these sounds and get them flowing. the percs could also do with some additions. the offbeat hi hat runs continuously for a bit too long. id add some other panned percs to fill the spectrum.

the melodies are nice and the track has a nice groove would like to hear this with effects and in a good stereo sound. could be really good if you did this.

keep us posted!

cheerz for your ideas yep I agree, the drums need a little more variation, I've got that covered, will post sometime soon (next week I think), and I'm panning the two stabs hard left and right with Stereo delay and a touch of reverb, also filtering the sounds so they morph a bit more over time

thanx for listening xxx

i wouldn't change a thing to this track it sounds class as it is nice and dreamy. i'd imagine labels would snap this up, as its very easy think of a deeper progressive remix and a harder/high energy remix for releases.

Very nice, it coule use some stereo imaging, but still I like it. There isn't much high end on this track, though I willing to let that go cause there is no rule that you have to fill every freq space. The melodies are pleasent sounding. It sound pretty good. Oh you should probably make your outro lonoger if you plan on making the DJs not mad.

nice tune. great job!

btw do you play keyboard? how can you find a key/chord?

Posted by miszt on Nov-13-2006 15:50:

Lotz of great feedback, thanks guys! this is very much a work in progress, so really nice to hear positive ideas about it will take all the points into consideration, all very valid.

I play the Piano Beethoven, so I know allot of scales which gives me plenty of chords to play with, these are mainly minor 5ths, google Piano Scales and you'll get an idea of what I mean

re the ending, well I plan on doing live sets, wanting to switch from Djing to Live sets these days, so I wont be planing on giving this out to much, although I am working on an epic version (bout 10 minutes, 2 breakdowns) which I'll be slipping into dj bags over the next months to demo myself, the crash was purly a last minute thing and definitly not the way the track will go at the end lol

thanx all xxx

got me monitors setup in stereo at last so can fix the stereo issues woot!

Hey, I like this track ^^. the melody seems to be abstract, while you put a nice effect on it. may I have the long version one? thanks!

Posted by Subtle on Nov-19-2006 07:45:

listening.

the first 4 minutes was quite boring to be honest.. but after that i think u introduce some interesting chords. got a oldschool sound to it.. something you could find on some of the early Trancemaster compilations.. like 10-15
