Dog Running Andy French Vs. Jerusalem of Gold (Trance) [320 kbs Sample]

Hey guys,
It's been a while since i've posted anything on here. Was wondering what you guys thought of this tune i'm remixing. It is to the break. I hope i've done the original justice.

Thanks

I like the idea of the song but the realization not that much - drums are too simple and I don't like the tone of the bass. Work a bit more on it. Cheers

thanks sonic...i was unsure of the bass too. I fixed it and tweaked the percs a little and updated the link. Anyone else?

sunclyder i'm glad you like it. Hope the bass sounds alright...it's my first attempt @ sidechaining. ******** what do you mean by "cans" and stockboying? Hope you liked it as well

Andy

Great flow in this track!

But it's a bit dry... Makes it lack some atmosphere which I think would lift this track up alot!

thanks for the feed back expanded. I added a few more subtle pad layers and attempted to master it. Anyone else like what they hear? Criticism is always appreciated. Thanks
Andy

the last part of the track sounds solid.. but the intro feels totally off. when you go into the track it goes from a more drunken minor wasted funk into a more serious flash up stage then gets sorta encased and perhaps even somber

what you have going with the bass is a - superman (what is the track you obviously must know the track.. who is this man.

cans are good for superman but the last part is totally a different track

interesting none the less.

also the hat / stockboying over the vocals maybe even kills it.. I can feel it go back into the drive where it stops

I pretty much have the same opinion, the last part was kind of well done, but the intro was painful and long, I liked the vocals though

Nice track mate. Well produced.

Just 2 small remarks (personal opinion) :

- sidechained a little bit too hard
- I miss one (or two) breaks; followed by a climax.

But good remix overal :-)

Made with Fl Studio ?

Cheers,
DJ Indigo

not a fan of both the bass sound and the way it's sidechained. With the pads it works better imo, but when you fade the kicks, it would be cool if the pads stop sidechaining too. I like the conga/bongo percs, could be louder for me. The closed hihat on the 2 and 10 threw me off in the break for a bit. And your track could do with a lead sound

Overall still pretty nice job

Posted by kopi_luwak on Dec-01-2006 03:23:

I have to concur about the drums and the build up, plus the sidechain effect sounds a bit weird for my taste, but I like the main idea, it only needs some work on it .
Keep it up Andy .

hey andy!

good track, but its kinda need some more variation in it and maybe make it a bid shorter duration... but, it could be me that is wrong...

anyway, it sounds nice to my ears..

great job!

Hey Really nice track, But as DJAnbech said it's need some more variation. But really good work on it. I also think it's needs another little short break. Good luck with it, If you will update it.

And keep the track lenght as you have it

Have a great Sunday

Best Regards Espen.

Hi,

must say, nice track! though at some points it needs some diversity and I think it's missing a break + climax.

but overall nice and well mastered production.

thanks for the help y'all. This was done in FLStudio - probably my last because i just bought a mac and logic...tho i have no clue how to use it heh. Regarding the climax - i kind of purposefully went for a small one. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Anyone else?

Andy
