Review: Lisa Lashes

All I can say is WOW....I am in love....from start to finish she had me moving faster then I have ever moved before. It was great to see the few TAs that I did tonight. Dan I am glad you were able to make it.

Its been awhile since I have gone to the guv and I swear there are a lot more glowsticks then before and those red lazers have got to go....I felt like the guvernment was trying to burn right through my pupils to read my mind

Overall the crowd wasn't too bad but you could tell that at least half the people there had no idea what to expect from Lisa Lashes....they were just standing there as if they forgot how to dance. That didn't bother me because I had plenty of room to dance where ever I went.

To me this was a close second to Yoji....and that is saying a lot since there has only been maybe 2 parties I have actually enjoyed since Yoji, musically speaking. If I had my friends with me for this I think this would have topped Yoji.

That you Guv for bringing Lisa Lashes to me......its about time you brought someone a little bit different in.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be going, but I am SO glad that we decided to go to guv for a bit. it was AWESOME. lisa was great, we spent most of the time dancing on the stage and the vibe was fantastic. I loved it, if she ever comes back I'll definitely be there again.

Wow what can i say, amazing night. Lisa played a good house set, it's been a while since i enjoyed so much dancing and she looked so happy up there (she is the cute eh). When i left around 4 MO continued the same line of music (raw power house) but i called a night and went home cause ma batteries started wearing off.

saw some TAs here and there, everybody was having a good time. for me this was the best party in a long time, i'm so glad i made it. cheers to all of you and till the next one.

i didnt see lisa lashes play at all because i glued my ass in the drink the whole night. joee cons opened the night and he played a very good set. lots of people were pumping their fists. at 2am greg gow came on. holy fuck this guy is good. i saw him briefly in the gallery the last time he played but last night was amazing. he started his set with house and slowly made the transition to techno. he is a great dj and seems like a very friendly guy. highlight of the night would be this one blonde girl that was dancing in front of the dj booth. every 10-15 seconds she would scream "OH FUCKIN YAA!!". we (greg gow, the lighting guy and myself) found this quite amusing at first but after a few minutes ot was pretty annoying.

allstar ben wandered down to the gallery and when he came back up to the drink he said the gallery was extremely packed and the music was good. we left around 3:30 and i was surprised to see mark oliver already back on the decks. how long was lisa's set? 2 hours?

anyways, good times last night. hopefully i get my camera back this week. im getting very angry at canon.

I was always moving. On my top 5 dj's i've seen for sure.
i'll see if i can post some videos later and pics too.

i think her set was 3 hours. from 1 to 4 i believe.

a very good mix of music she played like 1/3 trance, 1/3 hard uk house, 1/3 house. Loved every moment of it, her transitions were kinda slow but the builds were fcking amazing she totally ripped it.

Great time!

I never thought i'd say this, but I found MO's opening set utterly boring and was itching to get into The Gallery. Eventually got in there around 1am for Eric Entrena's set - WOW!! The room was packed, and for good reason too!

Came back to the main room at 2am. Lisa has loads of energy. Great interaction with the crowd and looked like she was really enjoying herself. But after spending an hour in The Gallery, her style was just too hard. I stuck around for an hour or so then headed back to hear Eric finish off his set. I never did hear the end, as I left a bit before 5am and he was STILL going.

Overall - 'twas a good night.

p.s. I'm getting too old for this sh*t

and whenever she yelled, she would never face the dj. she would turn around to face the crowd. after she yells she would face the dj again (and notice all of us laughing at her).

from what I remember it was some chick with short blonde hair. I forget who I was with but she annoyed the hell out of everybody around here. and yeah, the chick wasn't facing the DJ...she was all over the place!!

and plus her voice was really annoying...i can't describe exactly...but not pretty sounding haha.

i couldnt hear her voice clearly because the monitors in the booth were so loud. i guess that was a blessing.
