My grandma just passed away.

I have never felt like this before. I have never lost someone close to me before.

I don't know how I'm going to be able to cope.

Oh man. Greg, bro I'm so sorry to hear that. You need to talk or anything, hit me up on AIM or MSN, anytime.

Posted by Ibizadreamer AG on Nov-12-2006 18:22:

sorry about that man

Posted by Ygrene on Nov-12-2006 18:22:

My condolences Greg. All that I can offer to you is that time heals all wounds. Don't try and rush yourself to deal with it and move on. In your own good time you will come to grips with your emotions and thoughts of your grandmother. And honestly, a good cry never hurt anyone.

You are in my thoughts.

Posted by Rainborn on Nov-12-2006 18:23:

Sorry to hear that, man. May she rest in peace, beyond the flow of time.

Shit, sorry to hear that.

It's a real shitty feeling to know that someone you loved isn't around anymore. Don't bottle these emotions up, this is something you want to deal with as time progresses.

I can't even leave my room. I can't even go and tell my roomate.

I just can't.

Thanks for your support c0r.

Sorry to hear this Greg! My thoughts are with you and the family. Give it time, it will get better. That's what we all do, wait and let it heal. Your roomates could be a good support system, maybe telling them might not be so bad.

Yes, tell them or anyone really close to you, but not until you feel ready, of course.

Sorry to hear about that, Greg. My condolences. I have been fortunate enough to share moments with my grandparents from both sides. Suddenly we lost my mom's father and dad's father. Both of them passed away within a short span of time. I know how it feels.

Posted by Allied Nations on Nov-12-2006 19:26:

Death is nothing at all

I have only slipped away into the next room

I am I and you are you

Whatever we were to each other

That we are still

Call me by my old familiar name

Speak to me in the easy way you always used

Put no difference into your tone

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow

Laugh as we always laughed

At the little jokes we always enjoyed together

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was

Let it be spoken without effort

Without the ghost of a shadow in it

Life means all that it ever meant

It is the same as it ever was

There is absolute unbroken continuity

What is death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind

Because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you for an interval

Somewhere very near

Just around the corner

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost

One brief moment and all will be as it was before

How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again

My sincere condolences. Like many have said, you'll heal in time. Don't ignore the way you feel, embracing those emotions and working through them will only help you understand and cope with your loss better.

Posted by Allied Nations on Nov-12-2006 19:47:

The worst thing about all of this, is I have no one close to me within a thousand miles.

Thanks again everyone.
