anyone been to Ibiza??

Hey, my friends and I are thinking about going to Ibiza after we graduate from high school, go there summer of '03.

I was wondering what you paid for hotel, flight, and how much the food and stuff is there?

there any limits on clubs or anything like that and how much would u pay to get into one?

i'll be there for two days this summer. its not worth taking a trip to Ibiza all by itself..you ought to add it on to a trip to Europe.

thats what I wanna do but I hear its a shit load of $ to go there. Something like 30bucks for the club and then drinks are expensive too...hehe, thats why everybody does drugs there

Well, IBIZA is the maddest stuff ever design to party and definitely wicked.

Never listen to ppl that will tell you, it's not anymore what it was.

Ibiza doesn't change, only style of music changes. But it's truly amazing, awesome, it kicks ass badly.



Well, as you may have notice my best week in my life i spend it on Ibiza during the first week of august 1999.

It RRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXX.

So it's a paradise for clubbers. Hence, it cost his mother's ass.

THE CLUBS

Privil�ge

The biggest club on the white island.

12 000 clubbers each night.

A huge club told to be the biggest of the world...

The party of the week (cos' each club has his very own fav' party) is MANUMISSION.



This is the party that nobody miss when @ Ibiza but personnaly that not my style. It's on monday.
It's really hot. I mean hot sex mixed with clubbing. So nice shows, quite good music but not that trance and really crowded.

But cos the show is so special and unique. It worth the ticket the first time you go there

Cost about 40 Euro, only the entrance, there is no free drink with the tickets on the island, or if it's offered it's the crap clubs.

They don't need to make cheap prices to fullfill the dancefloor in the biggest clubs.
They're crowded almost all nights.

The normal drink is Vodka - Redbull costs about : 12 Euro.

The usual drink is bottle of water (40 cl) costs about 7 Euro.

Yep, water on the island is fucking expensive, there is not plate water,
you're on an island so only mineral waters and in the clubs it costs a lot.

Else, i love the 'xtravangaza night on friday with alex gold on desk who really rocks,
normally you get agnelli and nelson and a PA, i saw chicane there with Maire Brennan and Brian adams in 1999. Amazin'.

Else on thursday, there is the renaissance party. Deep dish or Seaman, it depends but it roxxx too.

The clubs open @ 10 P.M till 9.00 A.M.

AMNESIA

The second biggest club of the Island, at less than 0.5 miles from the Privilege.

Home of Cream parties on Thursday => What about Tiesto, PvD, Seb Fontaine, Guy Ornadel, Jules...



Normally PvD always do two dates during summer times. One at the begginning of august, another one at the end of august.

Nice club, two rooms of chillout one and the dancefloor with the dj above you,
you literraly can touch them with a big equalizer that gives you the vibes...

I love this club, always great time there during cream parties.

In case, there is some kind of gay party with drag queen during wednesday called "la troya assessina",
don't mess with this if you're not into gay ppl you would be more than surprised

There is the godkitchen there in case you love Fergie... Quite popular on the island. Not my kind.

@ new cost almost 40 Euro only for the entrance, the drinks cost the same price... Prepare to be hot, it's very warm in this club...

ES PARADIS TERRENAL

Para los de mas que no entienden Espanol, that means paradise on earth.



It's a white pyramid with a greek style indoor. Lovely, you'll get no special big dj in this clubs but some other special attraction

it's the foam party on Tuesday and Thursday. and it roxxx.

If you love to get wet contact with awesome chicks hot as they never felt. go there. Worth it.



Btw, it's my fav' club on the island.

Costs about 30 Euro to get in.

EDEN



Another club just a ten meters from es paradis terrenal. This club has been refurbished one year ago.
It has the biggest sound system in regards of his size i've seen on earth.

One Loud speaker each two meters. I get almost deaf last year when i was in.



Each Sunday, Jules is playing @ Judgment Sunday. Even if some find this guy cheesy, i can tell that his set live,
with all the right substances you can find out there makes you spent a bangin' night.

Costs about 30 Euro to get in.

EL PACHA

What to say about this club, the oldest of the island typical balearic looking created in 1973, in front of the giant yacht coming from georgetown...



Go there if you have cash to spend cost it's fucking heavy and expensive and when i say this remember EVERYTHING HERE IS EXPENSIVE.

So really it's a pain in the ass.

The club is good but don't expect lasers everywhere and a huge soundsytem. It's not the trip.
You 're goin' there to see models, a glimpse of grey coming down from their huge boats wanking with a bottle of whisky paid 220 Euro...
But if you wanna play the kings of the world for one, there you go. You can seat easily to chat (remember to always get a drink in your hand else bouncers will tell to go out there...).
And get your pipe steady for 'caine. Noraml drug in this club.

Parties :

Oakie hold his own night called " planet perfecto" i believe it's on weneday, not so sure...
Breakbeat and non true clubbers that all you'll find @ this night.

Else if you're are into House music, it's the right place Eric morillo is coming alll along the summer see him play with three desks impressive.

SPACE

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU




This clubs is unmissable. Opens from 8 A.M till 6 A.M. Yes, only closed two hours a day to clean up the room.

Home of afters and real clubbers, you have to atmosphere :

- One terrace, next to the airport Planes are flying just over the swimming pool.
Nice fx really.

- Dark dancefloor with the maddest clubbers of the island.

Home of Sasha, not to be missed it's the paradise of dark progrssive trance. A monument.

Of course you arrive there @ 10 A.M normally and your body break beetween 2 P.M and 5 P.M.

BUT UNMISSABLE, SAY JUST FUCK TO YOUR TIRED BODY. DROP SOME MORE E and Keep on doin'

I forgot another one club which is even worse (i mean in V.I.P style in the harbour).
Models, models and again models and gold visa cards, platinum express, etc....

Costs also 40 euro to get in.

ACCOMODATIONS

Well, this island is divided in two parts the IBIZA district called "ibiza antigua" the old ibiza.





Placed crowded by normal family and german ppl.

Yep nice info : Ibiza during summer is 75% of U.K ppl, 15% of German, 10% of other nations. Normal behaviour there when a german meets a brits, they fight.
They truly cannot stand each other, and don't try to separate them. i've seen such fight there, wwwhoooaaa, the guys were playing "fight club"....



And there is "San antonio" called San An'. Which the place where clubbers go on the summer.

So if you wanna club, not just getting the sun lied on the beach, but real clubbing go there and do not accept any accomodations not situated in San An'.



Cos the road are few on this island, and if you dont have a car, and to rent one,
it's expensive think about 220 Euro a week for a small 4x4 suzuki. Then you' ll have to take the "disco bus" that stops at each disco from 10 P.M till 10 A.M.,
and their circuit is from San An to Ibiza antigua and vice versa.



The cheapest price will be in San An' too. Also remember that the historical district is situated in Ibiza antigua,
so for a good restaurant or for seeing from the citadel the whole port it worth to go there.
But not for hard clubbers.

The bars that counts are in San An, the warm is there, Cafe del mar is there, feel the heating when the sun is coming down on the ocean
and everyone is clapping to sayu him ggodbye till tomorrow and give start to the real life : NIGHTCLUBBING.

If you get started enough early a motel will costs you about 400 Euro a week with one dinner included a day per person.

Don't expect luxury, it's just functionnal to sleep. Everyone is outside all along the day and night.
At least, you can shag in it. But guardians are very aware of who is getting in and out to avoid ppl squatting the rooms....

BARS

They are three main bars in San An'

CAFE M
with an M as MANUMISSION. Nice one just in front of the beach and harbour of San An'. Just follow the sound, you'll find it

CAFE DEL MAR

Needs no intro, just go in the direction of the sun straight to "el punta" and you'll find it. The chillest place in the world.

CAFE MAMBO

The warm up starts here. Jules plays here before his party.

E are @ from 8 to 10 Euro never go more they'll ripp you off.

'caine goes from 65 Euro for 1 gram. They'll try to fuck on this, go with two others friends,
take care of your cash and ask to taste it.

they won't try to steal you, just fuck you with weak substances or fakes.

Be on time go there @ 10 P.M, go later and you'll be fuck cos' the good dope goes first and you'll get crappy stuff.

Don't buy to the many Black guys coming from north africa along the harbour,
cos they'll rip you off with prices and they have common quality stuff for E. GO with the morrocan next to Mambo.

LSD, GHB, doesn't exist on the island except chemistry kitchen made cos' it's doesn't a good profit.

Now, you want have easy shag stay in the district call west end, girls are so drunk there,
that they won't even notice you're shagging them. It's nonsense, all it's upside down.

It's not the place to enjoy. but cos' it costs all lot of money clubbers do select crefully the nights they are goin out to superclubs.
The other they spent less money by staying in this district drinking.

Always keeping few euros to pay the discobus before leaving a disco else you'll be in trouble to go back home... costs 2 Euro.

Yep, think about the limit of cash your credit cards allow you they prolly pay everything in cash there,
and they do not accept credit cards at the entrance of the disco. Do not hope to negotiate with bouncers on that point...

Go to MEGAMUSIC music shop to pay by credit card your ticket in advance. Always pay your ticket in advance to save money...

Do not drink this plate water, it's disgusting.

Don't forget to go to formentera another beautifull island next to ibiza just awesome.

Go to see esvedra this special big rock on the western part of the island.



rent 125cm motorbike and make the whole circuit on the island.





Take all your medicine drugs with you cos it costs a lot to see a doctor there : 70 Euro.

Buy a T-SHIRT with "I've survived ibiza' cos' you deserve it.

Be prepared to be out for one week at least and you'll suffer from a little depression after the journey...
It lasts beetween two or three weeks.

It's just such a paradise.

Some stats :

From 1990 to 2000 the turnover of the club "Amnesia" has decreased from 90% concerning drinks. So they raised dramatically the prices on entrance.

But at least the bouncers won't put out cos' of wide opened eyes

Yep save money to be honest the whole week costed me 1 800 Euro. Nut hell i had the time of my life i was blessed. Really massive...

It's just so magic blue ocean, trance, friends, ppl friendly, and all the devices to make a clubbing decathlon... Unbelievable but true.

since 99, i go each year. But this year i gonna be lack of cash too.

But you come back home plenty of "souvenirs" for years.

I have so many photos of beautifull places.

And i would love to do this but on the ocean i mean some of my friends have rent a sail boat for one week.

Goin' from creek to creek being all alone in small hidden creek.

Well, so you'll be at the beginning of the season not so crowded but which less crazy line up a week.

I mean the heavy and serious week are beetween last week of july and second week of august.

Totally crowded, but you have the cream of the dj concentrated each week some night you have to decide beetween Tiesto or PvD...

In regards of the three club, i'll follow more the flyers to see which dj is spiining in which club tonight. All clubs mention above worth the going.

I mean in superclubs :

- Privil�ge
- Amnesia

In V.I.P clubs :

- Pacha
- Another one in Ibiza city

Awesome clubs :

- Space
- Es paradis terrenal.

Normal club but with a fucking good sound sytem

- Eden.

But if i had only the choice beetween three among these.

Es paradis => Foam party.
Amnesia => Cream.
Space => The after of cream.

that what i'll do

Else a normal week

Sunday : Eden => Judgement Sundays => Judge Jules
Monday : Es paradis => Foam party => resident DJ
Tuesday : off for the safety of my brain
Wednesday : Privil�ge => Renaissance => Seaman
Thursday :Amnesia => Cream => PvD
Friday : Privil�ge => 'xtravangaza records => Alex Gold + P.A guests
Saturday : Off for the safety of my ruined body.

And you have the choice for space after cream or renaissance parties.

Yep DC-10 is good but is more a big bar-disco it's not a club... well personnaly, not my fav... but worht the looking once.

Else, you have terrace almost everywhere in the clubs so smoking weed is possible but if you stink herb a lot, i don't think this will be appreciated by the direction. I Mean everybody is fuckin' wasted, but the disco try to make it clean as if everyone wasn't on drugs and healthy.

But, in this clubs you're free to go out and come back how many times you want so smoke outside and get in

Else, well beetween 6.30 P.M till 11.00 P.M the action happens in San An'. I mean you have to go to cafe del mar which is in San An'.

I would say clubbers go preferably there.

Ibiza city is more the gay party of the island :

it may be not clear but it's a drag queen. So the atmosphere is pretty different, more classy, less weird, you have each night a market in ibiza city so you'll always see children with their parents running around buying some small stuff. You'll have the gay shop, with small very very special gear. We did many, and we were laughing out loud if you like leather it's great

So, the atmosphere there is cleaner for sure than in San An'. However San An' is not the bronx and you won't get into trouble there.

If you want tranquility, smart entertainment, good food, the best goodlooking girls around, yep, go to ibiza city, but be prepared to spend cash a lot.

else if you wanna feel the warm atmosphere of clubbing with ppl dancing in the streets to a massive sound system of a super bar and sometime also relax and chillout in front of the ocean @ cafe del mar, to sum up if you're more into clubbing, real clubbing go to San An'.

Anyway, you can't go wrong with ibiza but don't go in the north either in the south only San An' or Ibiza. else it takes almost 1 hour to cross the whole island by car.

Yes Ibiza city is nearer than San An' from San rafael. However Ibiza city is like big apple, it lasts over ten kilometers along the sea so it really depends if you're downtown or around Ibiza city.

There is 18 miles beetween both San An and ibiza city and San rafael is @ 12 miles from San An' (but San An' is San an' it's a quite small place) and 6 from Ibiza city.

At last, yep, it's an U.K colony San An', i was astonished to know that one part of San An' was called "the west end" the same way that in London Funny isn't it.

P.S : Hey, i had to mention this i discuss with some ppl from morrocco and cos' it was formerly a colony of France, we had some let special friendship, so they told me that they have no mercy on ripping you (i mean american = $) off on prices, so always discuss, never pay the price they ask at the beginning and if it's still too much for you, pretend to leave and you'll get an ultimate discount price on the stuff.

Always remember in IBIZA all it's a question of money....

LoginZ how much cash would you recomend on bringing per week. Im going for 2 weeks in august and i dont know how much spending money i should bring to be comfortable

If you like to get high i would say

150 euro a day. (Considering all the rest of journey is already paid accomodation and one dinner a day)

I.E

1 x 40 = 40 E for entrance

7 x 5 = 35 E for 5 bottles of water during the night

4 x 9 = 36 E for E (it depends but a the end of the week 4 is a normal average )

2 x 2 = 4 E for discobus

total clubbing a night = 115 Euro

The rest is for breakfast and one dinner more and xtra the day off like jet ski, rent a motorbike during the day off, cigarette, weed, some energy drink @ cafe del mar... So merchandised T_shirt and some Ibiza compilations or 12''.

Btw, don't stay two weeks if you go to ibiza to club.

I spent three weeks on bed after getting a disease there.

Always goin from hot area to fresh area, all the time and my throat did not bear that. Furthermore, at the end, you've lost appetite .

So me and my friends we recommend only one week with two or three days off clubbing.

the first time, i did go out each night and it really killed me.

Thanx for the warning but i shouldn't have too many problems since I look Latin and I can speak Spanish without an accent. Plus i have lots of experience bargaining in Mexico. And I don't act like an American! :P

Ya vesa, the night im most excited for is Godskitchen. Pretty much juts for teh fact that John'00 is a GC man, my 19th birthday falls on the GC night and i pray to god hes spinning

the people you went through for the package deals, do you know if they offer packages for people outside the UK, I live in the west coast of Canada. With prices like the ones you mentiond i might actually be able to afford 2 weeks.

Be sure of one thing Ibiza isn't not spanish at all.

Cost too much, and with the pesetas before the cost of life on the island it's way too much expensive. All the island get � prices during the summer. So, for English it doesn't sound that much but for Spanish it's huge.

It's just a non declared colony of british empire

No really during the summer, taxi would be really surprised if you talk in spanish.

It's a way of gaining trust of locals...

But else all the island speaks english and english only.

80 % of the tourist popultation is english or english spoken compliant.

Almost every seasonal employees are english there.

For instance, there is a very special job there.

PR as Public Relation, you'll see guys everywhere giving flyers for the nights in the clubs. They gain entrance for the clubs and 1,5 Euro per ppl goin' with their flyer and paying @ the door.

I met one guy a french one in 1999 who was designing sands statues on the beach to gain some money from tourists.

The kind of hippie guy but as old as me let say 28.

He took a ticket to Ibiza one day for vacations.

In Y2K, i saw him and in 2001 i saw him at new.

It's almost like "the beach" for some backpackers guys.

he stuck on this Island.

During winter time they are only 25 000 locals on the island and the cost of life is divided by 3. So they earn money during summer and take an endless summer during wintertime.

There is all a small community, but when they are stuck they cannot go back home. really special i had hours of conv' with this guys, telling me some secrets about how was working this sometimes paradise, sometimes hell island.

In regards of the mushroom, i never ever heard anything about that. Only chemicals on the island except weed and it's not weed it's much more hash (morrocco just miles from here).

So for trippy visuals, i don't know how you'll manage this.

I met always the same guys dealing @ Mambo and i even know their names, but they're not selling other stuff then : E, CC, Special K, Hash.

Just some warning about some friendly dealers who are really kewl with you saying well i stay with you till you get the effect and then you buy me the numbers of E you want.

And instead of E, they make you dropped Ketamine, you get stuck and they stole you watch, wallet...

So with some kewl guys like this, if one of you wanna be a guinea pig and test, i would say always stay with another trust guy, to be sure that they won't fuck.

But, believe me, i have almost never 'xperienced such a marvellous time than with the stuff they sell there. CLASS A stuff.

In 99, i had blue smurff. Cos' of this i will always remember this cheesy tune "Eiffel 65 - Im' blue" they were spending mainstream in the clubs with atb - till i come.

In Y2K, the best stuff i ever had "blue versace" this E are small pieces of art. The versace face is not stapped but drawn in 3D on the E on both faces. You watch it about three minutes before dropping it cos ' of such a magnifiscent design.

In 2001, it was Titi as in the yellow bird.... and yellow versace.

Well, end of souvenirs, but really for this island it's a paradise on earth.

But, it's also MONEY ISLAND. take cash with you many place where you can only pay with cash.

In regards of this, i'll say that the cheaper prices you can get in Europe are the one from U.K.

Go to http://www.holidays-in-ibiza.co.uk or www.virgin.co.uk in may, june to book, check out their package and really think about taking a ticket to london instead fo dealing with your local canadian tour operator.

Even from a french, it worth the travel to go to london in regards of the discount prices. Furthermore in this kind of package you a pass to the clubs for all the week so no entrance fee in addition...

When you go outside of Es paradis, one big club, ppl are goin' to take a bath in the harbour on the beach.

So they 're cained, wasted.

And they go dress up, not taking time to remove their clothe in the sea to have a bath.

Some of them go their with other girls just met in the club few hours ago but totally high on E.

And when i say high it's damn high.

So, they are goin in to the sea at 25 meters from the beach. it's not very deep sea in the harbour.

And they seat and they are beginning to shag. Remove trousers and skirt and shaging in the water.

You can hear the girl screaming from the beach, you can have a look to them fucking and trainspotters just stuck all along the beack watching ppl fuck into the sea.

And cos of E, it lasts damn long.

I have heard many girls had to go to the doctor cos of disease.

No need to say that when some are fucking, the lagers guys are taking a pee in this same sea.

So this sea is disgusting at hell, cos' they 're taking a pee after clubbing and during the day they are taking a bath in it

No really this island is definitely crazy.

You can shag alsmot everywhere, girls are hot and on drugs.
