Disco Ball - everyone should have one!

After innocently mentioning that I would love a disco ball back in June, I unexpectedly received one from my wonderful friends for my birthday in August (11th).

On November 11th, only 3 months later, the ball was erected and here it is...

hahaha...you guys have to check out my dorm room at University.

I took out all of my ceiling lights and put black lights in. In theory, i don't have any real light in my room..so I can't study in the dark!

I got tons of trippy glow in the dark stuff all over my room including posters which are crazy!

I was thinking about spray painting it as well. I have a couple cans of florescent spray paint in my dorm room (Bright orange, yellow and blue), and I could spray paint my ceiling and walls.

I did that too my dorm room a few years ago, and got into some trouble as some how other peoples rooms got sprayed and the hallways and stuff...Don't know how that happened...

But a disco ball would be PERFECT!!!

Erm, ya, that is a little excessive perhaps but good on you for trying to recreate the party atmosphere...

I think I will stick to just the ball....

Shiny Disco Balls!

I have one, but not as facy as that or Nat's.

A lot of Friends house that I visited over the summer, I noticed so many of them had those Dollarama Disco balls in their house! I counted about eight friends having them and then my friend Marilyn brought it up that she had seen so many of them around too, but she was living in Montreal!

So much fun for a Dollar!

i also have this cool light you cant see its on the far right.... basicly its a small cheap remake of the lgihts in clubs, has 5 colors and can flash to the beat or at set intervals

that's insane! they will charge ur sorry ass for damages for like at least $500 don't do that

I have fallen in love with this disco ball, it is the best thing in the world!!!

I had to repaint half of my room before I moved..haha

Just make sure you don't do it on other peoples room..thast vandalism...haha

but to be honestly truthful...it wasn't me who spray painted other people rooms...but still....

Trippy florescent paint on your ceiling is fun!

do they need to be hooked up to a light fixture or can they go into any ceiling?

My advice would be to NOT hardwire it as you would need to get a transformer to convert the 110v to the 2v that is required or else you may end up with a firework display like I did....

Mine is just screwed into the cap where the light fixture would be then plugged in.

The light is mounted on the ceiling at the other side of the room.
