2 events happening on the same night...ahhhhh!!!!

The past couple weeks at Pur have been fantastic though so I will do my best to come out to this for a bit. How can I not after they changed their brand of wine just for me?!?!

Sorry I can't make it out guys I'll be in Waterloo... good luck and one of these weeks!

I hear it's a nice venue, are there any pics anywhere of it?

Not this week...well maybe...but it will be late in the night...Global Village, Matt Shaw and the boys are calling...

Nicola...as for the wine...an improvement for sure...but I could still only manage one glass!

Oh, and be careful what you wish for...in the first week's review, we talked about the lack of "coat check"...so last Friday the club had a "mandatory" coat check that was $3.00! I think we just really wanted a place to hang our coats...LOL

And what's with the cover policy...if your name is on the list...it's free...but if you are a "plus 1" you pay...last week I was on as Daniel +1...I got in free and Chris had to pay...I thought it was hilarious!

If you fill out your name with e-mail address you are on their 'no cover list', and any guests you bring will be treated like a regular. Your guests can avoid paying in the future if they sign up as well.

Good to know...

But someone there should tell you that...

Still think it's hilarious...

I think the logic behind it is they would like to build their list to as great a number as possible. If it were as simple as signing up yourself and bringing as many people as you like for free, i'd imagine their mailout list being relatively small.

Pretty much a win win for all involved. The club gains clientele, and the patrons gain access to a venue that at the most will cost them $3 to attend (that is of course, if they bring a coat to check).

No problem with the logic Jeff...just the communication!

Nicola brought a large group two weeks in a row..and was down as +8...had the guys known they could list individually after the first week...then I am sure they would have.

I only hope that cutting the cover to zero in exchange for an email addy, will not kill the night financialy.

I would happily pay $5.00 at these small venues to ensure a little stability and continuity!

Oh, and one more point...they got my info two weeks ago, and I have yet to receive any event or venue email from them...a little slow I think!

Thanks for the info.

I will let management know about this, and I'm sure they will send out the communication.

Looks like Global Village has won out. I love Pur, but it's gonna have to be the hostel this week.

I know...perhaps I shouldn't have emailed them about the lack of coat check...atleast I wasn't sitting on a pile of coats all night haha

This is a very fun place and the staff take good care of us. Those of you that make it out will enjoy it I'm sure!!

Hey Nicola...I love the place to...I think Augustino is a very nice guy and he wants to please...

I missed the pile of coats...I went through all the pockets last weeks and I came away with some real loot...

5 sticks of gum (only two of which were previously chewed)

3 American pennies (I sold them to Jeffrey for a dime!)

a set of keys for a BMW, which turned out to be replicas that belonged to an 82 Reliant!

and a hand full of chocolate eggs, left behind by a farmer!

I couldn't be a chocolate egg farmer
