Incredible animation (Kiwi!)!!!!

This is the first thread I've ever started hehe.

[[First off, I apologize if this has been posted before....I'm not looking to piss anyone off by posting the same thing twice ]]

Anyways, I just watched this amazing 3 minute animation here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sdUUx5FdySs

At first when you watch it, you're like 'Ummmm, what?' but get this: Kiwi spends his whole life nailing tress to an upward cliff so that he can climb to the top, jump off, and pretend he can fly....he was born without developed wings so he couldn't fly.........it's actually pretty sad since he dies at the end..........it seems to represent living one's whole life in pursuit of a goal, one which Kiwi desired so much he was willing to die for it.

Can you believe that a 3 min animation can be so philosophical and evoke so many feelings? I think this animation is just wonderful.

i just came across this a few days ago! i thought it was soo amzingly cute.. and very sad!! poor little guy! the little single tear was what got me!
I hope the guy that made this did very well on his thesis ( which was what the animation was made for) because i thought it was so well done!

Kiwi's dream was to fly ....

I wish my masters thesis for engineering could be expressed through a video..

I can't do the 16th b/c I have an exam a few days after it, but I want to try to hit up the GUV maybe the week before or after NYE

Thanks to everyone for bumping this; yup, amazing how simple the animation it is, yet SO well executed. The philosophy behind it is astounding...once again proving that going for that one ultimate desire in your life, while perhaps destructive, can be so ultimately fulfilling as well.

i totally get whats being said here but i dont think this is as amazing as some of u are making it out to be. as far as shorts go this is pretty decent...check out some of pixars animated shorts or anything by gobelins...truly AMAZING work!!
