disappointed with borat...

totally shattered this was so poor!!

went to the premiere last night @ jam factory, walked the carpet etc etc...

movie was probably one of the most painful 2 hours i have had to sit through...

its been built up so much but is such a let down.. it has its moments but they dont maketh the movie!!

been a fan for a while and gutted its tripe...

though as usual he does make a mockery of americans and there typical mid west and southern attitudes... which i guess saves it a bit!!

thoughts?

HAHAHAHAH

shutup you.

so did you get free alki being on the red carpet & all?
You probably saw half the cast of Neighbours or someshit.

actually had boyd on my left, and that chick that love stingray on my right... had dermy in front of me (such a bad haricut) and hamish (hamish and andy) behind me... few others around aswell!!!

no free alki.. but scored a free popcorn (i just didnt pay for it)

also was sledged walking the carpet lol...

aesthetic... i sense hostility and sarchasm! good work... seriously though this movie stunk! considering the intelligence and wit of the writer/star i would expect better, its just a film to appeal to the lowest common denominator.. there are funny bits but not as many as i would have thought... though the undertone of how shit american yokels are comes to the for front like most of his stuff!!
beware of college frat boys from the mid west...

the funniest part of the whole night was when he came into the cinema and spoke to the audience... other than that i was gutted at how crap it was!

Thought this was excellent, havent laughed that much in ages. Probably the best fight scene ever in a movie.

Double thumbs up.

you need to have rubber fist in anus al mac! high five!

Posted by Light The Fuse on Dec-05-2006 01:57:

thought it was funny.

the fight scene is hilarious as is the running of the jews lol.

funny thing is ive seen about 3 scenes from this movie that werent in the actual movie - one real good one was borat singing a song called "throw the jew down the well" in a bar with a group of rednecks.

"can i show them a picture of my son?"

"I will look at your treasures gyspy woman"

man the more i think of it - the more piss funny moments

The only disappointment I got from Borat was when Jam Factory showed us the wrong film that we sat through 5 minutes of before we realised it wasn't another preview.

2 thumbs up from me.

Great movie with so much good satire. Plenty of laugh out loud moments
