ID Contest 42 - It's Fresh! (Deadline on Sunday! send in your entry!)

After some silence in the ID'ing department we have yet another contest! I promise that this one won't be as easy as my previous one, but it will still be quite easy.
There are a lot of tunes from this year, so all of you who follow the larger radio show should do OK, but the samples won't give it away without some heavy pondering.

Do I get points or what?

Yes, you do!

3 points are rewarded for every complete ID, regardless of how much info that is present for the ID.
Uncompleted IDs are scored by the number of tidbits of information you've ID'd.
The categories are; artist, title and remix; each worth one point.

I can't remember all remixes in the world!

You don't have to!

I will be giving some hints as I deem suitable in the PMs together with your current score, and you may resubmit as often as you like.

How about Club mixes and those?

Well, in regards to the common mix names such as Club Mix, Radio Edit etc., I will regard them as requirements for a fully scored ID where they make a significant difference to the track, e.g. Push - The Legacy (Club Mix). Otherwise they will not be needed for a full score.

Contest ends December 10th at at 23:00 (CET), you will have time for Christmas shopping!
Submit your answers via PM.

We went over to 128 kbps a few rounds ago, as broadband seems to be quite common nowadays.
And with 80 samples the filesize does get a bit heavy for dial-up, sorry.

In other words, Spacey stop living in the 90's and get broadband you homosexual!

But maybe his wiring can't handle it.

Posted by GroundLine on Nov-19-2006 10:25:

Added 64 kbps samples. I can also remove some samples and make the others shorter to get the filesize down.

First scores!

Where are all the people? Come on!
I know uncle montana scared you away children, but I'm giving out candy.

Current Standings:

paulandrews 46
Simcut 43
limin_li 27

After over a year away from ID Contests, Simon enters the game with a reasonable score, Paul only has a small lead over him.
limin_li is a bit behind, but we're still very early in the game.

Unique ID's:

Simcut 7
paulandrews 7
limin_li 4

Not very hard to get uniques with only three contestants. Wouldn't it be fun to drop them?

Most Fully ID'd tracks:

26 and 45 are the only ones that everybody got completely, although I know montana would beg to differ about 45, but I've cut some slack due to common mis-information going around.
Everybody has also scored on 60.

Posted by Camwin on Nov-19-2006 23:45:

Wicked, good idea to have two different ones for broadband and dial-up (i'm so 1999) lol
I'm no homo Sim...fag

Some more contestants steps up

This is coming along nicely, with three more contestants since yesterday.

Current Standings:

paulandrews 59 (+13)
montana 56
Camwin 45
Simcut 43
Quethas 33
limin_li 27

montana entered the game with a leading score, only to be surpassed by paulandrews before the update.
Camwin and Quethas filled in the gaps in the table.

Unique ID's:

paulandrews 4 (-3)
Simcut 3 (-4)
limin_li 3 (-1)
montana 3
Quethas 1
Camwin 1

montana and Camwin robs four of Simcut's uniques, while Quethas takes a few of paulandrews' who also got a new one.
montana takes shared second place and the other newcomers both get their own unique.

Most Fully ID'd tracks:

45 is still the only track that everybody knows.
26 is fully ID'd by four, Camwin is a bit confused and Quethas is the only one without a clue.
I'm happy to see that 41 also has four full ID's! As has 17, unfortunately.
Everybody, bar Quethas, know what 60 is, but only two have gotten the remixer right.

Yay!

Small update

Current Standings:

paulandrews 68 (+9)
montana 56
Camwin 45
Henson 45
Simcut 43
Quethas 35 (+2)
limin_li 27
tribu 18

paulandrews pulls an even greater lead and Quethas found some points hidden somewhere.
Henson takes shared third along side Camwin, and tribu, well... let's say he's doing a "Chris, THE_" stunt.

Unique ID's:

paulandrews 4 (+/-0)
Simcut 2 (-1)
montana 2 (-1)
limin_li 1 (-2)
Quethas 1

Camwin 0 (-1)

paulandrews loses one but gets a new one and stays on top.
Other than that we got some decreases, with Camwin falling off.

Most Fully ID'd tracks:

tribu joins Quethas in the hall of shame by missing 26, and is the only one to miss 45.

Posted by tribu on Nov-21-2006 19:14:

Gluh, I hate 45

Posted by limin_li on Nov-21-2006 21:35:
