Tiesto is amazing @ mixing, just not yet on cds

Was listening to a Tiesto mix:

Dj Tiesto - Groove Radio International 17-09-2005
http://www.sendspace.com/file/zn2wc9

Tiesto admits that ever since he switched over from vinyl to cd, he has been trainwrecking allot. He says it has been a tough switch but doesn't want to go back to vinyl.

DJ Tiesto - Live @ Gatecrasher 2000-12-16

So, I went back to his set @ Gatecrasher 2000-12-16 to check if his mixing was good back in the day. How was it? His mixing was amazing, @ least to my ears.

All the people who say he cannot mix are making those judgments on the fact that he sounds horrible on cd decks. If you go back to to Tiesto's vinyl days you will be owned. Mixing is amazing by the one of the main kings of trance. Haters listen for yourselfs and be owned:

Tiesto - Dancevalley, Spaarnwoude 04-08-2001

Dj Tiesto (Radio 538) club maxim, norway 15-04-2000

What I said has been said? Do you have the link to the thread? I would really like to read what peoples excuses were for saying he cannot mix on vinyl.

Tiesto spoke about it on some interview which was posted on here, I don't have the link.

He mixes better, but not as good as on vinyl. I have listened to every mix he has ever released, including all of his 2006 sets, and they are ok. I mean, I probably could mix on cds with how slow most of the tracks he spins are now. Go back to Trance Energy 2000, and listen to his mix. The tracks are really fast and there is no trainwrecking.

This topic has been covered before. I've never thought he was a horrible mixer on most accounts per s, but definitely not the best out there. He's consistently average, and who really cares?

This is going nowhere interesting.
