Your set of 2006
its been a fairly big year in terms of a variety of djs coming down to our shores. there have been some good sets throughout the year. i think thats the best way to describe it. only a couple of sets have left me speechless. so here are mine
1. hernan cattaneo @ room
2. anthony pappa @ brown alley
3. sasha & diggers @ qbh(only about 3 of the 6 hours, dont think they really clicked that well and there were some boring parts in there to)
nothing trance really done it for me this year. pvd was good in patches along with above & beyond, but yeh i think my taste has changed quiet a bit in the past year and a bit.
Pappa @ Brown Alley - thats about it lol
1. Hernan @ Room
2. Eddi Halliwell @ Summadayze recovery @ Metro
3. satoshie Tomie @ Room
Paolo Mojo
Steve Porter
Hernan Cattaneo
pappa @ livewire
i think i've missed one
Porter would have to be my #1, such an energetic set, and it was just an all round awesome weekend

oh and this is my other favourite little perky set of the year
gisele

Atmos @ Akasha. Nothing came close.
missed quite a lot of internationals between july and november, but from what i've seen, these 5 are the best of 2006 in my book:
technasia/charles siegling - two tribes
joris voorn - digital festival
anthony pappa - ffour (missed the brown alley one heard it was way better)
sasha & diggers - famous
pvd - metro ..best trance set for 2006, don't know how mark norman/a&b was at GK so..

Haven't seen many internationals at all this year.
1. Sasha & Digweed @ Home
2. Pappa @ Livewire
3. Tiefschwarz @ Field Day
4. James Lavelle @ Future Music Festival
Close one between 1 and 2 but S&D win just because of Digger's hairstyle.
EDIT: Oh and there's Sander K this coming Friday @ Home
Was GC this year? If so then John O'Callaghan @ Home gets my vote.
Jay-J @ Parklife
2006 has been shithouse.
j00f @ slinky
j00f @ earthcore
j00f @ gatecrasher

PvD
Still majorly spewing I missed Jimmy van M a couple of weeks back (just completely forgot) but other than that we've missed a lot of big names down here as usual.
The year's been a bit of a blur, but in no particular order from memory:
James Zabiela @ Sunny
Thomas Schumacher @ Sunny
Joris Voorn @ Digital
Danny Howells @ Room
Haven't been blown away too many times this year, but these guys certainly came the closest. I've no doubt forgotten a few by now though...
EDIT: Oh yeah, and Rollin Connection at the Pappa gig @ F4. Best local set of the year for me.
Les Savy Fav, The Hold Steady, Thunderbirds are now!
@ Jive, Adelaide.
best thing ever. EVER.
pvd
Andy Moor @ Family
Christopher Lawrence @ Family
There really hasn't been much that has blown me away, but playing in the mainroom at Family this year was a dream come true...
