And ppl said " Nintendo builds better product, hardware and software" Shouldn't the Wii be a tuffer design, I mean majority of their clients are kids. You know how careless they are.

Sony PS3: 1 , Nintendo Wii: 0 .

It should be tougher just for that reason...

But it looks like the Wii is build better (just not tougher). There have been lots of problems w/ the PS3 from overheating and freezing and stuff like that (like the 360).

I think Nintendo did a great job on their launch compared to the PS3. Eventhough I didn't get a Wii, tried a bit, but nothing major. I'm thinking about actually buying a Wii to keep after Christmas as it shouldn't be hard to get a Wii in the future.

You will probably be having difficulties walking into a store and buying a PS3 for atleast 6 months still..

Now, why exactly do they smash these consoles?

I think they're making a critique of the way our society manufactures normally unwanted and unneeded desire for no other purpose that to serve its own ends, to feed its own hype.

By smashing it in front of the lines, they're trying to promote outrage and an overreaction - and thereby show how ridiculous that response's justification is. It's metal, plastic, and circuit boards, nothing more. People who forget that are the ones that wait in line for days on end to get one on the very first day, or spend multiple thousand percent markup prices on sites like Ebay or Craigslist. By jarring them, by purposely attempting to provoke a strong reaction from such a useless and ultimately insignificant gesture, they're trying to show how pathetically obsessed we all are with the novelty of the Great Spectacle.

Or maybe they just like making nerds cry.

Did you see the guy that smashed the PS3? Let's be honest. He was attention whoring.

I'm totally bored of new game stations being smashed. It's boring now, the novelty has totally worn off.

Don't worry now...it'll be atleast 5 years before a new system comes out (unless there is a new Handeld sometime soon).
