Stay

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while.

We watched it once stoned, and then we watched it again coming down from mushrooms, where we were finally able to figure out the film. The transitions between scenes are amazing, as is the cinematography in general.

Check it out if you can

Oh yeah, Naomi Watts, as always, super hawt!

Really hard to figure that one out...it's so complicated it's one of those movies where everyone will come up with different theories and ideas about it, which makes it great IMO.

You say I only hear what I want to.
You say I talk so all the time so.
And I thought what I felt was simple,
and I thought that I don't belong,
and now that I am leaving,
now I know that I did something wrong 'cause I missed you.
Yeah yeah, I missed you.
And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.
So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
and this woman was singing my song:
lover's in love, and the other's run away,
lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.
Some of us hover when we weep for the other who was
dying since the day they were born.
Well, well, this is not that;
I think that I'm throwing, but I'm thrown.
And I thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.
You try to tell me that I'm clever,
but that won't take me anyhow, or anywhere with you.
You said that I was naive,
and I thought that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."
Oh, but now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.
Yeah, I miss you.
You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."
You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just
scared to lose.
And you say, "Stay."
And you say I only hear what I want to.

You stop in for a pack of cigarettes
You don’t smoke, don’t even want to
I see you check your change
Dressed up like a car crash
The wheels are turning byt you’re upside down
You say when he hits you, you don’t mind
Because when he hurts you, you feel alive
Is that what it is?

Red lights, grey morning
You stumble out of a hole in the ground
A vampire or a victim
It depend’s on who’s around
You used to stay in to watch the adverts
You could lip synch to the talk shows

And if you look, you look through me
And if you talk it’s not to me
And when I touch you, you don’t feel a thing

If I could stay... then the night would give you up
Stay, and the day would keep it’s trust
Stay, and the night would be enough

Faraway, so close
Up with the static and the radio
With satelite television
You can go anywhere
Miami, new orleans, london, belfast and berlin

And if you listen I can’t call
And if you jump, you just might fall
And if you shout I’ll only hear you

If I could stay... then the night would give you up
Stay then the day would keep it’s trust
Stay with the demons you drowned
Stay with the spirit I found
Stay and the night would be enough

Three o’clock in the morning
It’s quiet and there’s no one around
Just the bang and the clatter
As an angel runs to ground
Just the bang and the clatter
As an angel hits the ground

Stay absolutely sucked. You only thought it was interesting because you were fucked up. Watch it sober and you'll see.

I watched it sober. Stoned = Sober.

If it "absolutely sucked" I'd love to know what you think is "absolutely amazing".

First of all, watch it not being on anything and you will see, it gets boring really quick. There are very few "absolutely amazing" movies out there. The Dark Hours is an amazing movie. Empire of the Wolves is an amazing movie. Oldboy is an amazing movie. You will notice that none of these are american. Americans rarely make amazing movies.

I've not heard this remix and whether it's shit or not, the remix title fits well (if you know what I mean).

If it was boring I would have been bored watching it stoned. I found the cinematic effects very good, it was visually rich, the story full of intricacies, and the ending was well done. The acting was not bad either.

No it wasn't Old Boy, but it was a good movie.

O i definitely think its better than most of the crap that gets pumped out now. But at the same time, its not that hard to do better than this shit. I may need to go back and re-watch it. I saw it the week before it came out on dvd, so its been a while. I just remember being really bored.
