An apology from Richards on the Tonight Show:

I haven't watched it yet; I'm still kind of disgusted with his tirade.

that's the late show

*edit I watched it, and he seems really sorry.

Posted by StanVoid on Nov-21-2006 14:35:

the audience members are laughing, that's sad

Posted by montana on Nov-21-2006 14:36:

richards can apologize how much he wants but he's toast really. his career hasn't been going that well since seinfeld afaik and this was just him nailing himself into a coffin.

Posted by StanVoid on Nov-21-2006 14:38:

it's pretty sad how he tries to mention bigger things like the war and Katrina, and tie it all into this fuck up.

SEINFELD SET THE AUDIENCE STRAIGHT!

Posted by RandomGirl on Nov-21-2006 15:28:

He seems pretty flabbergasted with himself. Good on Seinfeld for telling the audience to STFU and show some respect.

I dunno, I believe people deserve to be forgiven. He apologized, and he seems sincere. Hopefully he can get his shit together.

this social situation is so fucked up.
using the "n" word ruining someones career.

Indeed. People can never simply just take the blame for whatever they do wrong. They merely half-admit and then state big-picture things to make themselves seem noble. At least he has sincerity to back him up.

i think he's only apologizing because he did it in public. i don't think he's truly sorry for it. how do you go on a rant like that and say sorry? if he said the n word one time, then i would probably believe his apology a little more.
