That's right! EvolutionFM.org is back with a new DJ BATTLE!!!! We are still sorting out a few details now but everything is pretty much set and ready to go! You can se the official rules here:The Evolution of Sound DJ Battle 2006 official rules page

We hope to have tons of fun and we welcome all the DJ's of Tranceaddict as well as from any other site on the internet.

I thought I would share this with all of you. I had someone over on djforums.com complain about "having to pay to enter" and I wanted to let you all know why there is a $5.00 entry fee. I and one other person pay for our server, we paid for all of our domain names and we take time out of our lives to maintain the site as well as run the radio station. We have been able to provide some of our members with their OWN DOMANIS and many others (including allll of our DJ's) with their own sub domains. I am also going to be paying for advertising, starting today. In addition, if we don't have enough DJ's sign up to meet the $75 minimum first prize then I am paying that as well as the second and third place prizes. Total, I stand to be out about $500 so anyone that wants to complain about a measly $5.00 can really just NOT sign up because we are trying to help promote our site, maybe find some new DJ's for our radio station and we are hoping that people have a good time.

People pissed and moaned in our last DJ Battle because there WEREN'T prizes and now people want to piss and moan when they actually have to contribute to make it better. LOL I told the guy he must be joking....... So anyway, that's why there is an entry fee and $5.00 is not going to break anyone. Most of us spend more going out to eat and on drinks at the bar than that.

I had an interesting.....issue, if you will, in another forum. The issue was whether or not this is a fund raising event fo rour site and the answer is NO, it is not. Every penny that is raised from entry fees will go to pay the top three DJ's!

So come on guys and gals!!!!! Let's kick this thing off!

Here are the rules

1. 30 minute mix
2. any number of tracks
3. effects ok
4. no post produciton editing of course LOL

***this is just for fun, no prizes or entry fees***
