Do your Non-Party freinds juge your party habits?

Do your Non-Party freinds juge you on your party habits, like the fact that you pop E, or any other party substances or stay out all night and not sleep..... cuz i was called a junkie the other day..

Worm Popper

Once you get a bit older, it's entirely on the DL.
No judgement possible.

Posted by MaxTO on Nov-21-2006 15:53:

Yeah, they do. Only to talk about how they get piss drunk to the point of passing out a few times a week. Apparently, any "training" or "social" event the firm hosts (large accounting firms) is nothing but a drunk fest. But that's OK, alcohol is not a drug

Posted by Dr. DAS on Nov-21-2006 15:57:

Overwhelming response in the poll.

Let's face it, this is a lifestyle of it's own. If you get it you get it. If you don't, you don't. I've been on both sides in my adult life, and I can say that everyone judges.

yeah i use to get that all the all the from my drinking friends from work ....they would get totaly smasked and pass out in random hallways of apartament buildings just cuz it was too cold for em to pass out outside... but me dancing for 12 hours then going home in my own bed is wrong

Posted by kabelicious on Nov-21-2006 16:06:

If they knew, they would definitely judge. Only one knows and a few suspect but I keep it away from them.

As it is, how do I explain how I was out till noon in Canada - "I take a long nap beforehand and drink many, many Redbulls". *shrug* I just don't talk about that part of my life with folks not in the scene. Not worth trying to explain.

And I hear ya on the drunk front - I have friends who rountinely get so wasted they need a taxi to get home and end up hungover as all fack. I don't get it.

I don't pop E, don't take any other party substances, although I do stay up all night...

Not everyone is a JUNKIE LIKE YOU!!!!

I guess maybe this poll doesn't apply to me, but never had any of my friends judge my habits

Posted by Orko on Nov-21-2006 16:07:

90% of my friends do not party. They do look at me differently, and I have to hold back about some of my nights out.

They still accept me for who I am, so I know I have a good group of friends.

Posted by RandomGirl on Nov-21-2006 16:13:

I have one friend in particular who is always judging my party habits, and the funny part is, I really don't party a whole lot, and I don't even do drugs.

But she is always making comments about me going out and drinking or something to that effect. It pisses me off.

People are so quick to judge others.

you are right...this poll doesn't apply to you.....you are just too good for the rest of us.

Why is it that people who don't do drugs have to make it a big deal that they go out and stay up all night without drugs.....I don't get it.

Yup. I can tell you first hand, and second hand. I worked for the largest accounting firm in Canada, and my sister and her bf have worked for a few others.

Coporate social events, are about getting drunk, you know because the managers and the people who are above you on the ladder are doing the same.

Remember, policy makers like to drink, so there fore it is ok. Stressful work, and an open bar leads to trouble, plain and simple. We just have a different venue and vehicle for that release.

Because I'm a partier and this poll generalizes everyone in this image - which doesn't apply to everyone here.

It was more of a sarcastic remark really

Not to make a situation worse but:

Name: Djsketchbag
Description: Mr.Self-Destruct
Locaton: K-Hole

You may want to think about how you protray yourself to others. From your description of yourself, the word "junkie" may infact apply.

If you keep painting yourself with a certain brush, people are going accept that image, and go along with it.

Well those are just the typical clubbers that usually go out till 2-3am and then it's done. I don't think it's cause of the drugs really, probably just not their scene. If I love the DJ/music I often stay up late till the early morning hours

oh i totaly understand were that's comming form ... i'm not oblivious, it's just that someone saying that just made me wonder if other TA's friends who don't party potray them is the same light

Posted by coconuticecream on Nov-21-2006 16:49:

ohhh wow waiting for a thread like this to come along.
ok I do not do drugs, never have, never will. I drink, but socially and not to get wasted. Party? Yes I do, BIG TIME. Sonic, Guv, whatever.. few times a week.

Its difficult convincing my non-party friends why I stay out till 8am in the morning in a club full of cracked out people dancing my ass off. and yes i do keep what I do away from certain people/friends, people are quick to judge and assume things.

anwyays kinda off topic. respect to all the people (noticed one other poster so far) that DONT do drugs and still manage to keep up with the rest. Its called love of the music. all you need, all I ever will. (NOW BEFORE I GET LOTS OF NASTY RESPONSES) I would just like to say most of my friends do drugs, and I got nothing against them. now that that is clear.

true house addicts? trance addicts? beat junkies? whatever you want to label it. do it sober :P Music is my drug

ok lay it down on me :P lol

My friends judge me all the time. They just don't get it...coincidentally...most of these friends I no longer associate with.

Posted by slingshot on Nov-21-2006 16:53:

hahahhaha

they can't judge what they don't know

Posted by Skipper on Nov-21-2006 16:55:

Even friends who party themselves will judge you. It's just a fact of life. Ultimately, you set your own limits - and you have to be okay with them.

Sometimes the judgement of other people with respect to party habits can be a good thing - a real wake up call sometimes.

Posted by Beach420 on Nov-21-2006 16:56:

I have many friends who dont do drugs, but they know i do, but have never judged me for it. I think if they thought i had a problem then they would talk to me about it but never judge. Real friends dont judge others for decisions they make that may differ from theirs. I dont really make it the topic of discussion with others who i know dont get down like that, and i respect that.

i agree with everything you say except for the last statement that true music lovers do it sober ... i like drop at parties but it has nothign to do with my love for the music .... i know i love the music cuz it's all listen to everyday as soon as i get home form work the beats are on till i go to sleep and i'm sober the whole time... i think it's more i liek to dance high i feel less self consious
