Firmware patch for Pioneer CDJ's

Has anyone run this patch? If so, is it worth the trouble? It is supposed to remedy the sound distortion that happens on some tracks when using the master tempo.

800mk2. I just got them and noticed that the low freq somewhat falls apart when using the master tempo. I looked it up on the pioneer site and, sure enough, they have a patch out there that supposedly addresses this. Not sure if this happens much with the MK3's, but they have a patch for that model as well.

Which ones do you have and have you encountered this?

It's just for the newer ones - the MK2's & MK3's, and is exactly for what you said its for.

Hey, I found this firmware update for the Steve v1.2

You should take this Steve.

I don't really use the master tempo so no I haven't. I've got an 800MK2 and an original 800

I am wondering if it really works. I am always a little leery of installing aftermarket firmware or any patches to devices that might affect other aspects of the products performance. I don't think that would be the case here, but wanted to know if anyone else had actually done this yet.
