I have nothing but respect from Trentemoller. He's an extremely versatile producer and even all of his old productions, before he became a common "house" hold name, were top notch. You can often tell its Trentemoller based off of his style of productions and thats always commendable. I've heard samples of this album on beatport and based off of the samples I would say it's likely worth buying.

I recently heard some of his stuff for the first time and I wasn't really impressed.

what are some of Trentmoller's better productions?

There's already a thread on this.

Le Champagne
The Forest
Late Night Cab Driving
Paksha feat Ijeoma - Island Breeze (Trentemoller Remix)
Djuma Soundsystem -Les Djinns (Trentemoller Remix)
Aya - Uptown (Trentemller Full Vocal Mix)

his Essential Mix is pure class as well.

I really like the last track off of disc 1 of the new album, Miss You

Also, I asked in the CD review thread, but which online stores have actually sent people the 2 disc limited edition when they ordered it? Amazon did something wrong with their product #s and I've received the 1 disc twice now, even though the 1 disc isn't offered on their site.

i like the more industrial side of disc 2!

I personally prefer the more down-tempo stuff in his album such as the post-rockish "take me into your skin" ,"moan" and "miss you" which bring in mind electronica artists like Mum and Telefon Tel Aviv. I find many of his "dance" tracks one-dimensional and just plain boring though. If you like electronic music in general (and not strictly EDM) then go for the album- "The Last Resort" very dark and emotional at times.

Its an awesome album. Very dark with the odd melodic ambient bit thrown in. Also the first ones off the press had a bonus CD with all Trentemollers singles on.

i think the collection of Singles is better, but this is still class.

The Forest (Still his best tune)
