Bush daughter robbed in Buenos Aires

San Telmo (Boca) is one of the worst parts of the city but also very touristy. You are fine if you stay in the main area but stray 1 block away and its quite rough. Id hate to be the secret service guy down there!!!

For the record ive been to argentina 5 times and never had a problem (touch wood). Most of argentina is very safe and when its not, all you have to do usually is keep your mouth shut so as to not identify yourself as a tourist.

ABC and the Washington Post have also reported that Jenna has been working as an intern for UNICEF in Panama.

Separately, the TV network said an off-duty Secret Service agent was beaten in a mugging attempt after a night out in Buenos Aires.

Meanwhile, in Honolulu, a presidential staffer was robbed and beaten last night outside a Waikiki nightclub.

Police said three men mugged the White House's acting travel office director Greg Pitts at about 2am while he was walking through the International Marketplace near Bobby G's Dance Club.

Pitts had been accompanying President George W Bush on a brief visit to Hawaii at the end of an eight-day trip to Asia.

While Bush stayed at Hickam Air Force Base, White House staff, crew from the Air Force One and reporters stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.

Lastly, three Honolulu police motorcycle officers were involved in a crash while escorting Bush's motorcade to the base.

Two were in hospital with serious injuries.

The Honolulu Advertiser said the motorcycles slipped indvidually on a rain-slicked roadway.

*whew*... but our dollars go a LONG way here. Almmost everything is about 1/3 of the price we'd find back home. I feel like a rich mofo here. I took out the guy I'm training to a fancy restarant (Cabanas Las Lilas, right by my hotel (Hilton, http://www.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en...001881,0.004592).

He was freaking out at the prices. In Canadian dollars, it was a typical and very good $25 steak. But multiply that 3X to match their standard of living, and . For them it feels like a $75 steak for us. It's nice to feel like a king here for a brief period.

Welcome to why ive been there 5 times now LOL. The girls there are amazing too.

PS: If you paid $25 canadian for a steak in argentina you got ripped off. I dont care what cut it was.

try staying away from puerto madero if you want non tourist prices.

Yeah I'm in Puerto Madero. But I have to thank my company for a corporate Amex card with a $75/day expense limit, which goes a helluva long way here (like 3x that much back home).
