i am deeply saddened they are remaking this into an "american version" coming out in 2007 with elisha cuthbert and jesse bradford playing the lead roles.

the american remake of "Il Mare" (the lake house) was decent though but still can't top the original

I just watched this movie - what an extremely well done love story. It was really funny at parts as well, so it's easy not to lose attention.
