Review:
I'm sure many already know that this guy has some serious talent, but IMO his last album was a bit disappointing. But this one, on the other hand, isn't. I think he was a bit off form in his last couple of releases, but this album is up there in quality with his stuff from earlier in the year. It has plenty of melody, so it will definantly have a broad appeal. And a lot of the tracks are meant for the dancefloors. For those familiar with his aliases, the album fall somewhere inbetween his productions under his real name and his Huggotron/HUG ones. He doesn't show off as much diversity as say Trentemoller did with his album, but it still a good effort.

The stand out tracks IMO are (so far after one listen):
Our song, See my show, Don't speak, and S for E

Its actually hard to pinpoint any one track as a stand out, as they are all pretty solid.

Don't Speak + Old Woods ftw!

Lane of Love does it for me, I love Dahlback's deeper stuff.

edit

This album REALLY really shows his diversity, clearly he makes music for a wide variety of people. I've been a fan of John Dahlback for a while and I'm glad that he's really been coming up as of late. I think next will be Jeff Bennet, he already has a few big releases on Plastic City I don't think a full on album is far off.

Anyone heard of Mark & John? I forget who Mark is, but John is John Dahlback and they have some fantastic releases on Pickadoll as well. Strongly suggest that they get checked out

hmm i see it on beatport just dont wanna grab certain tunes if there mixed?

any1 know if this album is mixed? also theres part 1 and part 2 on beatport as well with some of the tracks of the album..shits confusing wish beatport would tell u if its mixed or not..dont wanna waste 10 bux on tracks to find out there all mixed and i cant use em for my sets

Posted by bas on Nov-28-2006 22:58:

They're like vinyl releases. Part 1 has half and part 2 has another half. No the album isn't mixed. They just separate it in 2 in case you want to buy part of the release and not all of it.

GREAT ALBUM!!!

Liked all the tracks but METRO, see my show and traffic are going to be dancefloor destroyers!

IMO he is the best/most talented sweedish producer right now, and thats saying a lot!
