i need to get something notarized, are there any places downtown (off a train line) where i can get this done? are there "standard" places that do this, like post offices? please help.

Srsly, I had to become one for my last job. I am also a certified pharmacy technician and a certified substitute teacher (grades K-12) for Lake County, IL.
