a situation ...

So yesterday I stayed out pretty late with coworkers, drinking at a local bar. I got pretty sloshed and it came time to go home. Except I wasn't going home, I was gonna crash at my girl's so I just went there. However, it was 2am in the morning, and my buddy (whom i work with) had to get home too. But he lives in Jersey, which is a long ass way from where we were in NYC. I told him he can take my keys and just crash in my apartment since I live in the city. So I give him the keys, send him off, and go my own way.

When I get off the train about 40 minutes later, my phone is going. It's one of my roomates. Now, I share an apartment with 2 girls - and I forgot to phone them and warn them that someone else was gonna sleep in my room instead of me lol. Pretty fucking stupid of me, but given my condition at the moment I simply forgot. So my roomate is FREAKING OUT on the phone, yelling at me, telling me not to ever fucking do it again, how it was real scary, all that. I felt horrible, and I'm bugging out over it now, cuz I gotta go back home tonight and face them. So any advice on what I can do to smooth this out even a little bit?

I was thinking like getting a boquet of flowers and bringing it home or some shit.

SHORT VERSION: I got drunk, went to a girl's place instead of my home, and told my friend that he can go and crash at my place since he lives far. He went, and my roomates flipped out cuz I didn't warn them and they had to deal with a stranger coming into the house at 2am. What can I do to get on their good side again. They're both girls.

Tell them you realize you were a cvnt and cook dinner for them...

Yeah man, just apologize and be accountable for your mistake. I'm sure the flowers would be a nice touch too.

just say sorry.. explain the whole thing to them..they should be fine with it.. might be like never do that again.. but no reason they would be super pissed.

i think they do have a reason to be angry.. u know when u live with someone u have to take them into account. now an explination will be nice but make shure to not make it an excuse...

no biggie. just apologize. it's not the end of the world, and you're human.

they ARE chicks though, and most chicks are overly touchy about stupid shit like that.

if you had 2 guy roommates, they probably would have continued drinking with him. lol

guys > girls.


anyway, ur gonna have to grovel a bit. just make sure you use the words, "will never happen again".

no, flowers would make it look like you think you did something unforgiveable, which i don't think is the case. this really wasn't that bad. i would view it as more of something to laugh about. sure, if i had been one of those girls, and some stranger came staggering in (with a key), i'd be like, "WTF" at first, but as soon as things got cleared up, i would have laughed it off.

I think cleaning the bathroom is way overcompensating. Flowers shouldn't be a deal-sweetener either.

The key thing is to be accountable, like I said. Don't give any fucking excuses, or make up some long-winded bullshit, or offer any kind of services. Just get straight to the point by admitting you fucked up and that it won't happen again. Simple and sincere is always the best route.


Everyone likes flowers though.

If they keep being stroppy about then their being unreasonable and overeacting. But making dinner one night or perhaps next time you all pass a bar going in there and getting the drinks wouldn't hurt.

Tell them that it's your apartment too and if they don't like it they can blow a goat. Then unleash the mother fucking moonwalk.
