Amuuna "Higher" / Uplifting trance, sample

Hi folks,

Just thought of posting my little creation here. You can find the sample at www.tunetribe.com/amuuna Just click on 'play' next to the track name.

Would be forever grateful if anyone could give me some critical feedback.

Cheers...

Thanks for the feedback Akia. Glad you like it. Wasn't too sure, as I've heard it over and over again myself!

hi mate,

Listening....nice pads, but that lead doesnt have the power. About the bassdrum, ik think the bassdrum needs more volume. Basline needs xtra layers to get a full sound also try to play with your percusion. keep it up mate.

cheers

Sample sounds nice and is nicely mixed but the melody is a bit for my liking, too happy sounding. I think you've done well with giving the song heaps of energy, especially without heaps of percussion. Bass and kick is mixed nicely. Needs work on production but its a nice solid start

Hey! Pretty nice work. Decent melody and nice pads. I think that the low end could come out more and the kick needs a little more punch. Also, the main lead was a little too harsh for me. Do you have a bandpass on it? Overall, good ideas, but could use some work on production.

Hey guy!
I think you did a great attempt here at an uplifting melody, and it is just that! However, you might want to pay some attention to the mixing process. Again, I think it is a great attempt, but speaking from my headphones point of view() You want to bring those low end levels out to play as well as compressing your percussion and bass channels to envelope your mix. If you ahve questions about where to find faqs or guides on mixing for dance music, please PM me or maybe we can post them here. I hope you don't take offense to this post, because I think you did a really good job!

Keep up the great work!

Whoa, didn't realise it would be THAT happy!

lol, right, now i'm over the initial happiness that filled my room, i can review

well this isn't like anything at all I listen to so it's a bit hard to know what sounds ur going for, imo though i think the lead is a bit too loud, maybe make the bass a little more interesting? gd work,

cheers, Alex

Hi everyone,

Thanks very much for all your comments. The general view seems as though I need to work on the bass a bit more. I'll go back and rework this.

Your feedback is really helpful. Cheers again folks!
