Thats a helluva camera. My general consensus is that if it's a Canon, its probably worth it.

i work in DI [digital imagining] at best buy, cameras are part of my department. i know its a bangin camera, ive acquired many canon efs lenses so theyre compatible with the xti, i just am looking for first hand experience stories with them

damn cameras these days. the model names sound like cars...

Hubby just bought one of these and he loves it. The only gripe I have about it is the fact it is so small. Might be better off with the 30d. I mean by the time you add the flash and a decent lens the body itself it defeats the purpose of the size. If you have smaller fingers it's perfect but if you got big hands (oooh baby!!! LOL) may want the bigger body.

landscape/nature photography has always been an interest of mine

My step-dad has one and he loves the thing to death. I haven't really gotten to use it yet, but he emails me pictures from time to time and they're all fabulous and he's not that great of a photographer! Helluva camera, though, some of the shit he showed me when I was home for thanksgiving was amazing: the focus system made me hawt in the pants, especially.

As I said in another thread, the Sony DSLRA100 is the best entry level SLR camera on the market.

Nope, Samsung DX-10....or the Nikon D50. The D50 has the lowest and cleanest color noise of any camera out there if properly exposed. Canon has blotchy, hard to remove, uneven color noise. Shitty light falloff too.

Personally, i'd go with the DX-10 because of it's leetness anti weather, and build in Stabalization system.

you guys are on crack

canon is the best and by far

When Digital Rebels take pictures in ISO 1600, it loses detail and sharpness.

Nikon D50 1/100 F/10 ISO 1600 Bounce Flash

No loss of detail, and no color noise. The digital rebel would have blurred out the ridges along the edge of the coin, even at F/10, it cannot compare even when properly exposed.

Plus the new 400D's sensor is slower than the 350D.
