Plus I heard from a friend that Blank&Jones will be playing at Ruby in February....that will be so sick to hear them in Ruby's sound system.

anyone go?
DaveT went
Yeah.
Nice size crowd considering it's the night before NYE, tons of EDM peeps are in LA, and there were multiple big trance parties going on in the city.
Lighting at Ruby was insane! No laser or anything, but they had a TON of lights and placed them all over the place. And they took good advantage of them.
Ferry brought a whole entourage with him. Had to be 20+ people. Heard it was family (largely on his wife's side) and some close friends. There was even a person who looked like his mom, but not sure if it was.
Matt Darey was there for quite awhile, left at 2:30ish to proceed to Ten15 to play there as a surprise guest.
The Scumfrog was also at Ferry.
Ferry's set was solid, but nothing special. He just didn't seem to be taking the set anywhere. I took one for the team and stayed home with the kid when he played here in September, but everyone says he played infinitely better that night. No DJ is perfect every time, so don't think it's anything to fuss over.
I stayed home, unfortunately my gf was sick so I ended up staying with her.
I did see Ferry about 3 times this year and will deffinitely be there for his next gig but I still was looking forward to last night.
Oh well.
so much fun, definitely one of my favorite opening sets in 2006!
