Francois Kevorkian
going to see this absolute legend tomorrow night (along with H-Foundation, Groove Armada, Grandmaster Flash, Q-Bert and DJ Marky), a truly original DJ who knows good music, amazing to think he's 53 and still fucking loves it!
anyone else seen him lately?
Nope, he's still on my to do-list..
It's Kevorkian by the way.

for the past few years he's had his weekly "deep space" parties on monday night in the nyc club Cielo and the stuff he spins is definitely unique -- and not for everyone.
i'm not sure how much he changes it up for a non-new york gig, but he's surely one of the most unique and eclectic djs currently working. he's liable to drop everything from dub to downtempo to minimal to disco house to '80s electro to roots reggae: he's been around long enough to have seen and heard it all so he spins stuff that he finds interesting.
going to see him tonight over here! saw him few months back at a festival and he was far the best dj of the wkend absoutly amazing he was
he's a legend. i've heard sets from him, mostly silky smooth deep house. the best stuff ever. i think he plays a bit rougher house nowadays. as a producer he is the daddy, and the granddaddy. he, shep pettibone, walter gibbons & jellybean benitez practicly invented the remix. and from disco to downtempo to house to even his dabs in techno have been topnotch stuff
