yay for snow!

it's a fucking winter wonderland out there.

there was like 8" of snow on my car when i left for work this morning... took me 10 minutes to clean it off then 40 minutes to get to work (my commute is normally 15 minutes). the whole time driving to work i was goin 20mph and could barely see shit. the snow is still coming down hard so it's just white everywhere... cars in ditches... people in SUVs driving too fast... and only half the office is in today so i feel like screwing around!

It better stop in time for me to get laid tonight.

Posted by tubularbills on Dec-01-2006 15:45:

omg you guys got rocked w/ snow. unbelievable. i'm so glad i'm not up that far north anymore!

Posted by grooviebeats on Dec-01-2006 15:46:

driving in the snow up north must be the same as driving in the rain here in florida.. it seems like in florida it starts to rain and everyone forgets how to drive in it... WTF.. Is it like that with the snow up north where it just starts and all the peopel forget what to do????

yeah... pretty much. i saw at least 4 cars in the ditch this morning. the worst are the drivers in their SUVs with 4-wheel drive that think they're invincible, when all their 4WD does for them is barrel them further into the ditch when they run off the road.

myself, however... i turn into the biggest pussy in the world when the roads are bad.

i never understood it, but out in iowa people couldn't drive for shit in the show. and i'm thinking, "this happens every year for like 5 months....wtf?"

chicago at least had the sense to salt their roads BEFORE it snows. iowa waited until after it STOPPED snowing to plow and put salt down. and half the time they didn't use salt they used SAND. WTF!? sand doesn't melt snow! and it barely gives any traction anyways!

lol. I was going to start a thread almost exactly like this but realized it was too closely related to my previous Snowboarding thread, so I shamelessly bumped it with what would have been my thread post. I can see out the window right now and the snow just wont quit.

i'm looking forward to putting up christmas lights in my new house when it's like 50+ degrees out.

although, i have to admit, i can't imagine being in florida for christmas. i mean, palm trees w/ lights on them?

All my life I had christmas with snow..except the year when I lived in Mexico....it was just too weird for me ahah..i remember feeling like it wasn't really christmas.....I was in mexico city, so as the city stands at like 2000m off the ocean level...not a lot of palm trees there..more like fir trees....but i guess you guys are used to xmas w/o snow...(the ones living down southern usa)
