Time to re-label

Alright everyone... as my collection has grown and grown, I have realized (and been told by several on here) that my Trance MP3's are horribly mis-labeled. Is there a program that can look up individual MP3's online and download the correct tags, or am I gonna have to go to beatport and discogs and look up each and every one of my 1600 songs and put it in manually? I really would like to get this properly organized so I can learn this correctly and not sound like a COMPLETE NEWB every time I speak.

Thanx in advance.

How did you manage to mislabel all your mp3s?

Time to pay for your own stupidity and re-label them one by one.

sure - it's powered by unicorn tears and is located in the supermarket between the time-travelling deloreans and the magic beanstalks. it also gives foot rubs.

I think Tag and Rename has a freeDB support. That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

If you download from certain major legal sites they label the shit with numbers and crap.

their not mislabeled though

"SXTH007_sequentia-innuendo_original306826"

i wouldnt see a need to rename that. most of the ones i bought are like this and it works fine.

Ummmm, yea.... I was expecting some flaming from this.

1. Like mentioned above, Some legal sites labels are shit
2. Yes, quite a few of them came from P2P
3. Several of the CD's I've ripped (legally) didn't get correctly labeled to start
4. I've mislabeled MANY of them myself (like putting the song producer as artist etc.... as you know EDM can be hard to learn correctly, so I stupidly labeled everthing as the artist on the album instead of actual atrist with remix [ex. labeling EVERY song as Tiesto for example, instead of XXXXX as artist and Tiesto mix, etc.])

So, flame me if you wish... at least i'm trying to go back and fix it now...

manually relabel them. if you want to be focused, get some sort of illegal stimulant and it will keep you working for hours upon end until you are finished relabellign. re tagging is a different story though. i used to have a program that it would re tagg the mp3s how you want so you could set it up like

artist - song name - mix name

and then artist would go to artist on teh tagg, and song name to song name and so one, i don remember what it was called though but you have to rename them first

You wouldn't see a need to relabel that? Seriously?

Drives me crazy...

What your speaking of is Tag&Rename.

you'll have to check manually. still, get a program called mp3bookhelper.. should ease the pain a little. you can load all your files into it, edit the incorrect artist/title tags and automatically rename the lot based on tag info

1 Buy the fcukers legally
2 Rename as you save them

As for your predicament - tough shit
