coughing up blood in sputum?

had this cough for like a week or so now and when i go to hack up the phlem, blood usually comes with

should i visit the doctor?

Had something similar happen thru a rugby insodent where I got a bad hit and coughed up blood + phlem. After about 2 weeks it just stopped. Ive also known this to happen from smoking alot.

Well, I coughed up bloody phlegm one time and didn't do anything.

I'd go to the doctor if you are coughing up full on blood, though. That shit's WHACK!

ya i smoke but not as much as some of my friends do, they are like chain smokers

i have a cigarette a day or so? thats not that bad is it?

but i will go to the doc monday if i survive today and sunday

Happened to me before, found out I had a genetic problem where my blood clotted too much and had clots in my lungs. It might not be that but whatever it is, coughing up blood is always serious, and no kidding aside life threatening.

i had the same problem 2 years ago. and i ddint bother going to see a doc. i spent 2 weeks in bed and i finally got better. however because i didnt seek treatment i have many problems todaybecause of it. i have scars all in my lungs throat and tonsils which causes a whole list of problems for me. i really regret not seeing a doc, u should go

You could have pierced a lung with a rib from coughing, causing your lung to fill up with blood.
Or you could have lung cancer.

but on da real, go see a fucking dr. you could have cancer and not know it...some ppl think that because the blood "goes away" that there's nothing wrong, when in reality, it's just the next phase and spreading all over your inner system...
