This will definately get me flamed but....
the Whore off contest is getting annoying. I mean im all for it but there are so many threads/posts that are filled with so crap and lame sentences.
Its like sifting through shit trying find information actually relating to the thread.

This place is not nearly as entertaining as it was when i first joined. Theres one or two good threads that pop up hear and there but meh. I turned into a lurker... I'm not a big fan of it.

It's funny that people bash the DJMag poll because there is so much spamming, and then turn around and spam for the whore-off.

Not that I really give a shit about whatchamacallit but anyway.
I agree with you. A lot of these so-called "cor whores" seem to think that mindlessly spamming is a good way to make a positive impression on people. But in reality, all they're doing is detracting from the quality of the forum.
If you don't like it, then I suggest you help to ensure that they don't get the "reward" that they want for their misbehavior. You can do that by voting against them - and for me, Arbiter, once the contest officially begins. You see, I represent a different set of values: unlike them, I think that staying on-topic is a good thing. If you take the time to vote for me, you're not just voting for me personally, you're voting for the values of good, substantial discussion, keeping threads on-topic, and less attention whoring.
Together, we can send a message to these "cor whores" that we don't take kindly to them using our boards as a place to dump whatever crap pops into their heads. And in doing that, we can all make a difference.
The best threads are in the Political Forum.

The Chill Out Room has turned into a small group of people spamming the same topics with short 1 line replys.
It used to be a large group of people spamming a lot of topics with 1 line replies.
I liked it better in the classic days of Sebby and his McDonald's candlelight bagel dinner.
